When I Met You ( Laceless x Prince )

We The Kings

Prince clenches Laceless' hand tightly, waiting with anticipation. Their hearts race with the passing seconds looking forward waiting for the results.
"Alright we have a conclusion on who the winner is."
The announcer spoke as he walks in front of the people who stand in tension and impatience.

"First place winner goes to Passion and Hula." Prince sighs sharply out with disappointment as he released his hand from Laceless but the sun yellow squid reaches back over and takes it in again.

"It's alright! We did our best that's all that matters" Prince study's Laceless eyes as he intensely looks into them with stars and blush. "..." Prince grins softly and then giggles, continuing to hold Laceless' hand. "But our second place winner goes to...Prince and Laceless!"

The two teenager boys suddenly get washed over with surprise and glee as they grip each other's hands tighter. "Come up the four winner of our year's competition!" The announcer spoke with a roar voice so the ones could hear.

"Shall we head up?" Laceless glances over toward Prince with kindness in his eyes as he slowly walks forward down the aisle of people that clear the way for the boys to walk down. Prince blushes with bashfulness, looking down at the ground as Laceless leads the way up to the stage.

"Our First Year Winner's! And Our Second Year Winners!" The announcer spoke going around and placing the crowns on the folks heads. "Our Winners Ladies and Gents! Let's Hear It!" The people around claps loud with cheers and whistles.

"This isn't bad" Laceless laughs with a gently smirks following close behind. The young King smiles and takes off his King crown he got. "It really isn't...thank you Laceless for giving me this chance to see your home town. And letting me participate in this game..it was so fun!"

Laceless glance over and looks completely at Prince blocking all others out. Prince reaches up for Laceless' crown then takes it off. "What are you doing?" The smaller squid questions.

"I may be the new King of turf war...but...you're my King." Prince blushes and places the king's crown atop of Laceless' head. "At least...the King of my happiness.." Prince steps back and admires the sight.
"Prince..." the smaller squid can't get no words to form out of his mouth.

He stands amazed and in tranquility looking eye to eye with his crush.

"We...we both are kings!" Laceless laughs and takes Princes hand dragging him off the stage. Both laugh with joy as they rush through the fair holding hands while they run.

They soon end up stopping at a food cart and buy their meals for each other and go off to find a table to sit at. "Really thought we'd get first place" Prince mutters low as he tares his food apart.

"It's a rather difficult game. I'm only mildly great.." Laceless spoke taking a bite of his food. "I thought you were outstanding.." Prince mumbles appealingly as he looks at the ground. Little did the new King know the smaller squid heard each word he spoke just then.

"You were magnificent, Prince.." Laceless stops abruptly and looks lustfully toward the new King. Prince also comes to a halt and stares back. He then comes closer and steps in front of Laceless.

The two boys didn't speak anything further they just gaze at one another waiting for what may happen next. Prince's eyes glance shortly off then come back to only fall upon Laceless' lips. The smaller squid takes notice and then begins to bring himself up.

"LACELESS!!" Someone shouted ruining the intimate moment between them. The gardener exhaustedly exhales and peeks over to see who ruined his chance on kissing his crush.

But he only sighted his old town friend.

"CHILI!!!" Laceless shouts back and rushes over to hug his best friend. They both smash into one another and end up falling on the ground but still hugging tight.

"Aww! Man! Where Have You Beeen!!" The squid who's taller then both Laceless and Prince spoke now standing up also helping his old friend to his feet. Laceless laughs out and stands, dusting the dirt off his clothes.

"Inkopolis! You really have a short memory..." Laceless smiles kindly at his pal who he hasn't seen in a year. Prince wearily makes his way over toward the two boys who talk amongst themselves and stands beside Laceless, gripping his jacket casually.

"That's right! My mistake, ever since the accident it's just been in one ear and out the other.. Ah! Who's this?" Chili points beside Laceless where Prince stands quiet like. "Chili this is a new friend, Prince"

Laceless steps back to show off Prince.

Chili smiles wide and laughs with glee. "Haha! I'm glad you got yourself someone mate' " Both Prince and Laceless blush embarrassed glancing toward one another in this awkward moment.

"Chili..he's not my boyfriend.." Laceless timidly said rubbing his neck. "Oh shit! My mistake!" Laceless falls silent after that comment and looks gloomy at the ground. Prince surprised, glances at the smaller one who stands embarrassed and tense.

"..Laceless Sorry for my lose lip.." the gardener seems to get his head back and stands straight looking at his old friend. "It's okay Chili. Anyway what made you come into town? You hardly ever come to these"

The small sun yellow inking spoke reframing himself like the situation never happened. "Toni wanted to come. The girl's now old enough to participate in the games" 

"That's right. She's fourteen! We hope you have a wonderful time."

"Ah-Ah-Ah. Lace! Come on it's been a year we haven't seen one another, let's do something together, along with your new buddy." Chili suggested already walking with a grin across his face.

Laceless exhales chummily and looks back at Prince who has a confused but exhilarating expression. He can already see that Prince is on board so the boys follow the oblivious fellow out into the more social part of the fair.
