When I Met You ( Laceless x Prince )

The Monarchs Legacy

Laceless is pinned down, if he moves he's done for. N-pacer keeps her eye on the squids spot so her teammates have the time to move forward and ink. Laceless knew her game and he felt so useless for letting this happen.

Laceless POV:

I have to move and get out there! I'm here for a reason and that reason is for me to fight and prove myself that I can be useful on a team! I can't sit here and wait for my teammates.

I take in a confident gust of air (confident as I can be) I position myself the right away and start heading to the area I wish to be at. Dashing forward I move as fast as I could, feeling her scope on me.

I was so lucky that she missed me. I rolled forward and slide into a safe zone where I was met with Prince. He was fighting with incredible motion that was amazing to see up close.

"Hey you!" I turn around and see the other yellow monarch running up to Prince and I. "It's Laceless sir." I do a small bow and when I raised my head back up I see him grinning and then he lets out a laugh. "Alright Laceless~" he's cheery!

"I'm going to need your help separating the two members from N-pacer. Take away her blockers and we can take her out!" The tall confident squid tells me. I only nod and start following without question which was new for me.

We finally make to the place where the blockers are at. They don't move far from her..but they do make progress with inkling... "Alright! How can we do this.." Eging I assume, starts searching for a way to take them out.

I looks forward and see them making steady work. Kind of like a version of emperor road...but N-pacer is in the back. We need to catch them when they move to their next spot. "Um. N-pacer right?"
"Yeah?" He said looking my way now.

"She camps at one spot for a while until she can't ink in the position anymore. When she starts to move forward so do her blockers...if anything she'll go for a high ground. So it'll be that spot." I point up to a tower that's sort of in the middle.

"You want to surprise her and her team?" I nod and stay silent hoping I didn't fail at the idea. "That gives Pacer more control of the area..." I knew it...
I sorrowful thought to myself.

"But it'll be unexpected and if we have the right moves we can take it back." He presses his hand on my shoulder then pats my back with such force I let out some air. "God work Lace!" He runs forward to the area I pointed out.

I lag behind because I'm pretty happy that I did something good.

We both sneak our way to the tower and hid in the darkness that's below it. "She's arriving." Eging said with his blaster ready to go. I clench mine and for once I feel relaxed and less stressed.

"Take the sides and work your ways forward!" We hear her shout with her command as the two run away. She inks and starts to swim up. This is it!
"EGING!" I shout and I run out taking the chance to shoot her while she's in the ink.

"Are you serious Eging!" She said jumping out of her ink color angling her scope at us. She can only shoot one. Eging takes his blaster hopping around trying to take hits but she's extremely talented with her weapon. She ducks, rolls then slides taking her weapon and pulls her trigger.

Eging is out.

"Oh shoot!" I say. She hears and turns around only to fire by my head. I duck and swim around as fast as I could not wanting to be eliminated. The sound of her weapon makes me tense up and race my heart beat.

Not Yet!

I say to myself shooting around her. I see the confusion on her face once I did that and duck down into my ink. "I don't know what you're planning but I'll stop you!" She angles at the ground and looks around. But for once, I have the upper hand.

"Special Weapon! Bomb Rush!!" I say coming out and surrounding her. Three...two...one...

BLAST!

I did it..I got her out. "YES!" I shout to myself feeling a rushing of a feeling, a great one that makes me blush with excitement. "Laceless! That was great high five!" Prince comes up to me raising a hand.

I hesitate once but then go all in with a smile following.

"Yeah" we say once we touched. Then we make our way done the middle with ease spreading our ink and taking out the enemies one by one. This was fun! This is thrilling and outstanding, especially with him...

Time past and soon ticked down and then finally it was game- All such a wonderful experience. I'm glad I came...the ones who are left, all rounded out of the stage and listen to the three who stand prideful tall with smiles.

"You all did so extremely great. We'll be sure to give word to the person who made it. But, I'm sorry to the ones who didn't make it. I'm sure something good will come along." The King spoke as he waves a goodbye to us all.

"That was fun! I'm sure they'll make a good decision." One spoke behind me. "Maybe, who knows." Another spoke. Which caught my attention.
"What do you mean by that?" One pink female squid asked.

"I mean, they are top game Monarchs. Small commoners like us will Never meet their standards. They want to continue their legacy." All then fall quiet. It was a fun day, it really was...up until now.

I stop letting all walk past me, gazing back and looking up at the massive house that the Monarchs call home. Compared to me...I'm just a low life shrimp..who was lucky enough to be asked.
