When I Met You ( Laceless x Prince )

Let The Date Begin

Laceless POV:

I tilt my head toward Prince in a swift motion, taken aback by what he just asked me. "You..you want to...go somewhere..." I look up toward the sky seeing how there is some daylight. "I mean yeah...just you and me...if you want to-"

"No!" I cover my mouth knowing how I blurted out my answer to firmly toward Prince. Oh gosh...that was a forceful answer...as I'm sulking in my own embarrassment I start to hear Prince giggles then burst out into a laughter.

I raise my face out of my hands to see him stand up and reach down to take mine. "Haha~ you really are an ideal person Laceless~ so? What do you say to my proposal?" He continues to reach over for my hand, he knows I want to. Which I most definitely do...

I let my awkwardness wash away and grin toward the new King, reaching up to take his hand. Symbolizing that it's a most definite yes. We both stand on our feet and smile at one another as our hands still hold each other. Then we start off.

We rush off into the city where our 'date?' Begins. Daylight still shows since it's only 6:50 but that gives us plenty of time. I'm so excited! Beaming bright as we make way through the city now, searching for any places we can go.

"So...what do you have in mind?" I ask looking over at Prince who has his eyes wondering around the stores. "I honestly have no intention in mind.." he shyly spoke rubbing his neck. I bet he's just as nervous as I am. But I don't want this to flop, so I'll do everything I can to make this day great!

Determination strides me to do something so exciting and outstanding that we hopefully don't forget. As I'm thinking about our plans something finally hits me. This is such a common move on my part but this is all I got...

"Prince? Are your folks and friends alright with you leaving the city?" He turns my way with surprise but curiosity in his eyes. "Well I mean...Emperor basically is my guardian but it's hard to reach him now a days...however, I am old enough to leave on my own and get my own ticket if needed!"

I beam bright and pull out my phone to tell my pa that I'll be taking Prince to the place my family went when I was much younger. My father gave me a list of things to not do which I'll make sure to follow closely and hung up.

"My father said it's alright for us. So you ready? Or do you want to change? The place I'm taking you is a little bit rowdy~" I grin slightly as Prince seems to get more and more thrilled about this surprise place I'm taking him. "I'll change. We'll meet up in the square yeah?" I nod and let my hand fall from Prince's as we both run off to our homes.

"Glad I made it in time!" I hear Prince walk up waving his hand at me. I turn my figure toward him and can see that his in a sweater and some leggings. I'm just in a loose flannel jacket and shorts with boots. Our styles are VERY much different.

But In an instant when my eyes fall upon him I blush a heavy yellow on my cheeks. And now fumble with my words. "P-Prince..You..l-look really..a-amazing.."
I hope I don't do this through out the evening.

"Thanks~ you look really dashing yourself!" He complements me which makes me go flustered even more. "Heh..shall we head off then" I reach my hand out for him to take it which he did instantly.

We ended up taking the train out to the further side of the country where I was originally born and soon come to a halt when he arrived at the destination. Prince hops off first and looks around with curiosity.
He's like a puppy on his first walk...

I chuckle softly under my breath and follow him into the small town I was born and raised. This is the place my father met my mother. I thought as I look around the small familiar town. I assume Prince caught my stares since he fell beside me, glancing my way.

"Something the matter?" Asking me with concern. He actually startled me since I was so caught up in my own moment. I skip a few steps back and look at him but calm down in a matter of seconds. "Yeah. Yes! I'm sorry..it's just..this is the town where my ma and pa met.."

I stare around admiring the town and it's glory. To me it's a paradise to other eyes it's just a run down town with not much population. Over the decades it's become more of a tourist town with games and other categories like that.

I just hope Prince will like this.

"Really! Wait is this where you were born?" He asks me which makes me tense up hoping he doesn't judge me. "Uhmm..yeah actually.." I bite my tongue waiting for the worst.

"I kind of like the surroundings. It's a lot more calming then in inkopolis." He beams with his eyes telling the story. I'm glad and relieved that he thinks that. "Well then, let go have some fun!" Taking his hands and drag him off to an old building.

"This is something I used to do with my pa when we visited!" I show him around the building and then bring him to a seat. "What are we going to watch?" He asked rather excited with eyes lighting up.

"We aren't watching anything. This is the seating area until the game starts!" And just in a minute the announcer walks onto the stage with a mic in his hand. "Ladies and gents! How about we start the axe swings!~" all shout as expected and I glance toward Prince.

"The What!" He happily said but with also fear in his eyes. Guess he'll finally see the games I was raised with.
