When I Met You ( Laceless x Prince )

Telling You Why

Laceless enters his home, exhausted with his body barely wanting to move but he manages to shuffle his way into the kitchen, placing his belongings on the table. As he's doing so he didn't see the figure steadily approaching behind him.

"Laceless." The sun yellow squid jumps in fright and backs up into the table breathing heavily toward the person who spoke his name. Has he relaxes he notices it's only his father with a very displeasing expression.

"..hi pa..." Laceless weakly spoke now remembering he didn't call his dad saying he'd be out late with the team. "Do you know what time it is! You had me worried that something happened to You!" The young boy lowers his head understanding he made his father feel distressed.

"I'm sorry dad, really I am. The team just wanted to go out and celebrate. I'm extremely sorry I didn't call you." The father then places his hands on Laceless shoulders with a tight grip, looking overjoyed with his expression.

"You Got On The Team!!?!" The glee in the dads tone made Laceless laugh and nod, smiling all the while. "I Knew You'd Get There Somehow!!" The father takes his kid in for a hug. Praising him over and over. "Can't...b-breath..." the small squid choked out.

"Sorry. I'm so proud of you...you're mother would also be ecstatic." The young boy tears up whimpering while wiping his eyes away from the water drops flowing down his cheeks. "She would. I know..." the father pats his kins back and stands straight.

"Well you had a long day so go rest up and we'll head out in the morning again." Laceless nods and walks away but was then stoped by his fathers words.
"The coat fits you very well."

"Thanks dad." Laceless reply's with a smile and goes to his room so he can rest up and go out for another fantastic day with his teammates. { finally...I'm on a real team... } Laceless closes his eyes and soon dozes off to a slumber.

Outside in the near distance three inklings stand staring toward the house where Laceless and his dad lives. "Is this even a good idea? He only took the spot you were only using for your own use." The female inkling spoke toward her leader.

"Negative is right sir. You didn't even want the position." The other male spoke beside his leader as he walks a step closer to the house. "Doesn't matter. It would've been so much easier if I was still on the team. Now that's all ruined because of him."

The two squids glance at one another then to their leader who stands a few steps ahead.

In the early morning Laceless is outside in his backyard woods where he sits talking to a stone grave. "I got on the team mother. The one Prince leads, yeah...he's really kind...polite and so outstanding...he makes my heart flutter...is that love ma? Or just a simple crush..?"

Laceless was about to say more until he got a phone call from his father telling him to arrive at the front of the house since their about to leave for the mansion. Laceless says goodbye and runs off to where his father is located.

"Come on! We can't afford to be late!" Laceless runs toward the car as it starts up and swings in and buckles up. Now the two ride toward the mansion where they'll have to work for some time before Laceless has to break away.

Once arrive they start getting out and working for the time they have together. Laceless works on the garden as his dad works with the grass in the yard.

Laceless POV:

It's early but now it's getting a little hot. I rest and wipe away the sweat that rests on my forehead. Continuing my work, I shovel out some dirty to place the flowers in the ground then was then greeted by a kind voice. "Morning~"
