When I Met You ( Laceless x Prince )

Memories and Paradise

Prince POV:
"I was bullied into leaving my home" is what he said so sorrowfully that made me feel his pain. in a way it felt like it transferred over from him too me. But he still is experiencing it in the more harmful and crucial way to this point...

"Who made you leave..?" I honestly shouldn't even press on any further but I want to know more about him even if it is the bad. I want to know and experience it with him. He still gazes into his his cup but speaks up as time past.

"Chili only told you his side of our paradise, he wasn't the only one who got into trouble. Well, he put himself in harms way, the bad things just found me..." Laceless breaths become hick and slow.

"Long story short a guy always terrorized the town. He went around hurting others and one day, he just found me alone...and got me when my guard was down..." I couldn't help but stand up eagerly wanting to sit beside and console him until it was dawn for all I cared. I just wanted to be near him.

"He hurt you..." I nearly cried out once I sat down leaning myself up against his shoulder. I can hear his heart race at such a speed it makes me worry. But keeping relaxed I still want to hear him out, I want to hear what he's been through.

"He did...so badly that my parents finally decided 'that's it' and we left the next day and came back once in a while to pick the rest of my things up along with theirs..." Laceless tenses up remembering all of it which pains me to see him suffer.

"What about the guy?" I asked since I'm now worried for him mostly, I could care less about myself. "...I don't really know. He wasn't here when my folks returned those few times." He reminisces about his past then stands up walking over to look at the stars.

I was quick enough to follow and stand beside him. That's all I want. "Your town is beautiful. Sorry someone made you run from it..." Laceless sighs with a lazy tone and continues to stare up toward the sky. "It's alright. If I didn't leave I wouldn't have had the chance to meet you Prince"

He genuinely smiles and looks beside himself where I stand star struck. We now stand in the cool winds swirling round with muffled music in the background. But then Laceless seemed to light up when he heard a familiar noise.

"Something up Laceless?" I ask as he turns around to head for the clearing area where the speaker is at. He leans his ear in and listens closely as I walk closer and stand beside him waiting with patients.

"I know this song" his grows a smile slowly that's gentle and full of love. "What is it?" I ask now leaning in to hear the sound for myself.

"So don't judge me but this was actually my grandma's favorite song." He takes my hand gently and pulls me close to his body, making me blush in an instant. He guides me to the clearing with the lanterns set around in a romantic way and starts to slow dance with me.

I hear the pianos melody start off gradually as he sways me back and forth. I lean my chin on his shoulder as he places his head on mine just a little more below. Then the lyrics start up with Laceless mimicking the words.

"I saw the sun begin to dim
And felt that winter wind
Blow cold..."

I chuckle simply as I listen to him sing more.

"A man learns who is there for him
When the glitter fades and the walls won't hold
Cause from then, rubble
What remains
Can only be what's true!"

We move with ease around the barn while the music goes on. Listening and singing along. And since I didn't know the lyrics it was an off putting melody we had, but it was still extremely fun. When the song picked up he showed me some moves that he learned from his grandma.

And also from his father.

I learned they all where into dancing around his age so it was right of him to follow. That's what he said to me. And he was amazing at dancing, he was happy and smiling which made my heart explode from the sight. He can kill me with that smile and I wouldn't care...

The movements get more intense as he spins me around and I do the same for him. Our feet may not be in sink but this was something I could get on board with, I enjoyed this very much.

"And we will come back home
And we will come back home!...
Hooome, agaaain....!"

We come to a steady halt out of breath and just stare at one another swaying forth and back in the process. I love his eyes..they're so mesmerizing

Then the song ends and we continue longing into each other's eyes not pulling away or shyly looking off another way. Hold contact that's what we do then he backs away with a smile...

"You're not a bad dancer" I feel embarrassed about what I thought would happen but shrug it away and move forward. "You're extremely better than me! I had fun tonight!" Beaming bright I said with him blushing another way.

I then see him check his phone and his eyes widen with shock.

"Oh cod Prince! We'll miss the last train if we don't leave right now!" He eagerly spoke but with exhilaration flowing into his sentence as he smile with fear and rushes off taking my hand in his.

And now we are running through town with adrenaline and happiness in our bodies, carrying us the whole way. But in just that minute we made it to the train and hopped on which takes us back to inkopolis.

We walk down the aisle and sit toward the back exhausted from running such a distance.

"..we...made it!..." I gasp out laughing in the end.

"..." he nods swiftly since I assume he can't speak at the time. Now we are on our way back but I wonder what will happen in inkopolis that didn't happen here.
