Chapter 72 - My Story

Nash's P.O.V

Turning to Cameron I see him in confusion, I should probably let Carly talk to him and I should go talk to hayes.

Walking in the house I find my mom with Natalie,

" Hey" I say going to her,

" What the hell was that!" She said panicked,

Putting my head down I look at her and take Natalie from her arms.

" It's Carly's dad.. he used to beat her and now he's back",

She closed her eyes and put her fingers in her hair.

" Nash be safe, make sure your family's safe and do what's right, I'll call the cops to watch the house for a few days and then you take the rest okay"I nod and head up the stairs,

" Oh and I talked to your dad, I think he wants to talk to you, but will talk later".

I make it up to hayes's room, he was just laying on his bed looking at the ceiling.

" Hey home dog" I say sitting by him,

He smiles at me and takes Natalie.

" Hi", he just played with Natalie's fingers and toes until I asked him what he knew about Carly's dad.

" Nash I knew he used to beat her, we talked a lot when she was pregnant, and it just scares me cause I don't wanna see you guys get hurt", I stared at him and a sad way.
It's amazing how much he's grown up in the past year, I hope he doesn't make the same mistakes I did.
" And Nash I'm sorry about dad, and I'm so happy that you and Carly had Natalie, she's beautiful and She was put here for a reason, and I'm sorry about you having to take time off magcon but Nash you better protect your family cause they need you more then ever", what he was saying was right. and I love him for it, but I need to get more involved in his life, I'm the big brother I'm supposed to be helping him.

" Thanks hayes" I say while I hug him and Natalie,

" What about you, how's Haley?",

" She's doing good, and were doing good, and Melanie hasn't stalked me in awhile so I think I'm good" he laughed and smiled at me.
I smile and nod my head while looking at Natalie's eyes.
" She looks a lot like you Nash, I can see Carly's nose though" hayes says,
" Yeah she does, she loves you hayes she really does", he smiles and goes back to playing with her.

" Well I'm gonna need to put her down right now but I'll be back to talk to you later".

I grabbed Natalie and went to the nursery, laying her down I watch her eyes slowly shut.

After she fell asleep I went back downstairs and herd Cameron and Carly talking.

I guess nows a good time to go talk to my mom, looking in the kitchen I find her, Johnnie and sky eating.

Making my way towards her I see Skylynn light up when she saw me, it's like I was a gift under the tree.

" Hey beautiful", I say grabbing her.

" Mom can we talk?",

She nods her head and grabs the dishes while Johnnie takes sky.

" Hey sweetie what's up?",

" Umm so am I gonna talk to dad?",

" If you want to Nash but I want you two to patch things up",

" I know but he's such a dick, he doesn't even wanna meet his own granddaughter",

" I know sweet pea he is sometimes but just make the best of it okay, try to make up with him and if he won't see his grand baby then it's his fault".

Nodding my head my mom just gives me a hug and tells me everything's gonna be okay like every parent should do.

I'm gonna have to tell my daughter that one day so I might as well just learn how and learn to take that answer.

Walking away I find Carly, her eyes were full of tears and Cameron was holding her, I give cam a pat on the back and take over from there.

" It's gonna be alright car, I'm here, cams here, our family is here for you" I say rocking her,
" I know I just don't wanna see you hurt" she crys,
I kiss her forehead and somehow tears mange to come out of my eyes.
" I'm not gonna get hurt, there're not going to get hurt, I'll make sure of that",

She looks up at me and smiles, our lips crash together and the 3 simple words came out.

" I love you",

" I'll always love you".
