Chapter 73 - Things do Work Out

Mahogany's P.O.V

I woke up to the sound of birds chirping. I turned to my side and saw Taylor peacefully sleeping next to me. I stared at him remembering the events from last night. It was a perfect night and the best date I have ever been on.

He stared moving a little, but then stopped when he was facing me. He opened his eyes and chuckled. "Why are you smiling like that?"

"Because I'm happy."

He smiled back at me. "When are you not happy?"

"When I'm not with you." He leaned in and kissed me on the cheek.

"Ready to go?" He asked and stood up.

"Yeah." I replied and stood up to. "Race you to the car!" I screamed and started running into the forest.

"Hey! No fair!" I heard him scream. I turned around laughing as I saw his shirt get stuck on tree branch.

Running out of the forest, I see that Taylor had caught up to me.

I pumped my legs faster, but it was too late. Taylor was standing in front of the car with a smirk a his face.

"I win." He said.

I stopped and rested my hands on my knees. "But- How- You... were.. stuck." I was still out of breath by the time I finish talking.

"Well, I got un-stuck and here I am." I was still confused, but I shrugged it of.

"Whatever. Lets go."

We went in the car and left. We were talking and laughing the whole ride to the hotel.

We entered the building still laughing. Everyone in the lobby stared at us with weird expressions. But the didn't stop us from laughing.

I grabbed Taylor hand and we into the elevator. I pressed the bottom for the 10th floor. I was waiting for the elevator doors to open.

I heard the ding and mumbled a 'finally'. I dragged Taylor into my hotel room, and closed the door.

Before he could say anything, I crashed my lips on to his.

Cameron's P.O.V

I went into Maddie's apartment building and went up to her floor. I ran her door bell an waited for her to open the door.

I waited a while and no answered. I knew she was home, I saw her car. I rang the door bell again. She still did not answer. I sighed and looked through the flower pot. Once I found the extra key, I took it out and unlocked the door. I opened the door and walked in.

"Maddie?" I called out as I closed the door behind me.

"C-Cameron." My head snapped towards her. "I-I don't feel good." I got worried and ran over to her.

Just as I was about to say something, She fell right into my arms. I carried her to the couch bridal style and carefully laid her down.

"Maddie? Are you okay?" I looked at her and waited for her to open her eyes.

A couple of moments passed by and her eyes fluttered open. "What happened?" She asked and held her head.

"You fainted."

"Oh." She started to sit up but I stopped her.

"Lay down for a while." She nodded ad laid back down.

It was silent for a while, until I spoke up. "Have you been drinking?" She looked at me and then back down.

"Yeah." She said and sighed.

"Why?"

"Because it takes the pain away."

I looked at her with a sad expression. "I could of helped you. You didn't have to drink."

"I know, but I didn't want to bother you will my problems."

"Hey, look at me." She kept her head down, so I lifted up her chin and made her look at me

I looked into her eyes and began to talk."I don't mine helping you. I want to help you. I know you can get better."

"But how so you know? I can't stop drinking." A tear rolled down her cheek, but I wiped it away with my thump.

"I just do. I know you are storm enough. Just trust me."

"Okay." I smiled at her and she smiled back.

I kissed her cheek and then hugged her. She Immediately hugged back.

"Come on. let's go see a movie and then get some lunch after."

"Okay."

I got up from the couch and held my hand out. She took it and I helped her stand up. I held on to her invade she falls again, but thankfully she didn't. I helped her in the car and closed her door. I went to drivers seat and started the car.

It was a silent car ride to the movie theaters. Once we got there, we got out of the car and went in the building.

"What movie do you want to watch?" I asked.

"Whatever sounds good." She said and shrugged.

After a while we finally picked a movie and got some drinks and popcorn.

After the movie finished, we went to a diner and ordered some food. We sat next to the window and waited for our food.

We talked while we waited. And once our food finally came, we started eating.

As we were eating, we got to know more about each other. It was nice to know more about Maddie. She was a sweet girl besides all those bad things she has done in the past.

But the past is the past. And I know she is trying really to start over and forget the past. And I want to too.
