Chapter Nineteen: Maylaysia's Appearance
Emily sneezed in the middle of Defense Against the Dark Arts class. "Bless you," sveral of the students said, including James.
Emily smiled, "Thanks," she whispered, then looked back down at her work.
The bell rang and everyone jumped out of their seats, racing through the door to the Great Hall.
"Why am I so hungry?" James asked, looking down at his watch.
"I don't know. Because we haven't eaten since breakfast?"
He shrugged as the made their way through the clamped halls. James had this strange feeling that he was being watched. He tried to ignore it, but it was just there. Permanent. He sighed, "I'll be back. I'm going to go drop off my bag, kay?"
Emily nodded and kept on walking towards the Great Hall.
James became more catious as he went down the empty corridors of the school. Checking behind himself every so often. His steps echoed as he walked up the moving steps towards Gryffindor tower.
"Password?" the Fat Lady asked.
"Flos," James said.
The portrait swung open to reveal the Gryffindor common room, which was a mess. James stepped inside and looked around, "What the...?"
"James, Armenia did this," Maylaysia said, making her first appearance since the encounter before Christmas holidays.
"How? Is she a ghost?"
Maylaysia shook her head. Even for a ghost, her dress looked baggy on her, most likely meaning she wazs thinner. Her face was a waxy white. "In a way, maybe. But not here. Not at Hogwarts."
"Then why-?" but James never got to finish the question, the portrait hole opened again and Dominique stood there, mouth hanging open at the destroyed common room.
