Thank you so much for reading! I'm not quite finished yet, I have about two or three more chapters before the next book.

Chapter Twenty Seven: The Potion

James knew he'd been moved across the room and that his wand was gone again.

"Four dragon scales..." an unfamilaiar drifty female voice said.

"Yes, yes! I have that! Now, please, what is next?" Yaile demanded harshly.

James peaked through the corner of his eye over at Yaile and the other girl. The second girl had long blonde hair and jade green eyes. She was a Ravenclaw, and why she was halping a Slytherin, James didn't know.

"Um," she said, looking quickly at James and seeing he was awake. Yaile was still looked down at the potion when the girls eyes widened. Of course, Yaile chose that moment to look up.

"Zaia?" she asked.

The girl looked down quickly towards the leather bound book, "It says her to stir clockwise..."

"I DID THAT!" Yaile roared, grabbing her fallen wand of the ground and pointing it at the girl- Zaia.

"I'm sorry!" she cried.

"SORRY WILL NOT CUT IT!" Yaile screamed, "Crucio!"

Her screams pierced the room, ringing throughout it. James sat up and blinked as she watched the Zaia. It was a snap desicion, but James stood up and ran towards Yaile, hitting her in the back, easily forcing her head into the potion she was making. Zaia stopped screaming and looked at James, smiling weakly. "Thank you," she whispered.

"No problem," he replied, then grabbed inside of Yaile's robe for his wand. He pulled it out and sighed. He was pretty sure his ankle was broken now, though he'd been able to run on it. But it had been a situation where he need to, no matter what to save his friends and himself.

James looked at the potion, "What was it supposed to be?"

"A... a killing potion."

"Why did you help her?" James asked, becoming very dizzy all of the sudden.

"I... she threatened me. She said that if I didn't help her kill you and them, that she'd tell the status of my mother... and myself for that matter," her voice was shaking and cracked on myself.

"What status?" James asked, ignoring his now throbbing head.

"My mum is a werewolf... and so am I. But we're also Veela..."

James had recognized that hair from somewhere...

"It's forbidden by ancient laws to be both. We were to be killed, but moved quickly to England. It was a good thing, too. McGonagall said she we'd try and help us get our names cleared."

James tilted his head, "Where are you from, then?"

"Greece," she said, sighing. "I miss it so much. We actually went to France, where my mother was born... but had to move. The other Veela were prepared to tell."

"Oh," James said. Then he passed out on the floor.

James opened his eyes. The light from the window was blinding. "I'm hungry," James said, lloking around at Scorpius and Trinity. Emily was still asleep nest to him.

"Lucky that Veela girl was there," Scorpius said, gesturing towards Zaia, "We might not have made it without her." Scorpius had a bandage around his head- probably because he'd hit that wall so hard.

Trinity was just fine, though.

James was relieved his friends were okay. Sure, Emily and Scorpius were hurt, but okay. James yawned. "What do you reckon happened to Yaile?"

"Escourted of the grounds," Trinity smirked. "Serves her right!"

"Definatly!" James agreed. She was trying to kill them. James briefly wondered if the others knew this. "I'm really hungry."

"Well, then, I suggest you eat!" Madam Pomfrey said, magicking up some food from the kitchens.
