The next morning was spend mindfully. We sat on the ground and meditate. An instructor was in front, telling us things like closing our eyes, feel the air coming into our system, listen to our surrounding and a lot more making us calm. Like I am really with nature. That I am connected to it.
In his hands is a metal flute. The mouthpiece was in his mouth. He was blowing into it, making a relaxing tune that echoed in the corners of the forest.
"Close your eyes," mabagal at malumanay na sabi ng instructor. "Listen to your surroundings..."
I closed my eyes as the instructor instructed. The tune Zaffron was playing was mixed with the humming of birds. The sound of cold breeze blowing the leaves from tree branches. The small movements around me... The natural harmony of the forest...
It was all relaxing.
While Zaffron was playing the flute, my eyes were close. I listened to the melody that's soothing me. I can't think of anything. Just the calmness and contentment I felt while sitting in the middle of this forrest, created by the best Creator. Feeling the fresh air I inhaled.
At the moment, I felt like everything is fine. For me. For us. For the world.
When the session ended, everyone's face have a certain glow. Smiles plastered on their faces. It was like a fresh start and everyone was lay back. Everyone looked well rested. Happy. Peaceful.
Michelle and Danny get their gadgets on the charging station that was powered by the sun light. It has a solar panel that converts the energy to electricity.
We are allowed to use gadgets at breaks and depends on the activity. We were literally disconnected outside this forest.
"We were enrolled to a summer musical school when dad was alive," he told me while staring at nothingness. As if he's reliving the day when his father is alive.
Zaffron really grew in a rich family. I wonder what will happen if their company didn't get bankrupt.
The next activity was taking photos of things in the forest in different patterns. The facilitators gave us 20 minutes each to search for 10 patterns of nature. Some of the things I captured was the crack on the woods, patterns on the leaves and a spider's web.
It was followed by things with the count from one to ten. I mostly capture flowers with different number of petals.
Then pictures that have the colors of the rainbow each. Medyo nahirapan pa nga ako sa violet.
All in all, the activity was tiring but fun at the same time. I get to see simple details in nature, I usually didn't notice. I became more observant about little things that's creating the bigger picture. That those details together produce this forest.
The campfire that night was lively than the first one. Maybe because we met new friends in the camp. A music was strummed as we all sang. Then someone stood up. Pulled another one and dance to the music.
