I almost smack myself when I moved out of the elevator. I sighed and went to the fire exit to use the stairs to go down. Dahil alam kong medyo wala ako sa sarili ay minabuti kong humawak sa hawakanpara sa gano'n, may gabay ako at hindi malalaglag. I am scared to fall on the stairs but my head keep coming back to the thought that I have an offer abroad.
Of course, I am happy...
That's an achievement. A big opportunity for me to showcase my skills and to have a broader audience. And yet, I can't seems to find the pleasure I thought I'll get once I win the competition.
"Zyla? Are you okay?"
I blinked when I heard Zaffron's voice. I was too occupied of my thought I haven't noticed I'm inside my unit already.
"Are you sure? You looked bothered earlier. You didn't even look the first time I called you."
I sighed and walked towards him. I sat on the space beside him, aware that he was watching every move I made. I put my bag on the center table, before I leaned to his shoulders and close my eyes.
"Just tired."
Zaffron allowed me to lean on him. It's really nice to know that I can lean to someone when my head was on a total mess. The comforts that he brought to me just by being there. No words needed because it's like he knew that his presence was enough. And the fact that he respected my silence means so much to me.
"What do you want for dinner?"
"Anything with pasta."
I felt him patted my head with his free hand. I opened my eyes and smiled at him. Feeling better of the short rest I had. Short and yet, I felt fully charged.
"Thank you for being there for me," I said softly to him then stood up and made my way to my room.

"Hello, mom?"
"Hello sweety, how are you?"
I smiled at the soft voice of my mom. She was so sweet and soft. "I fine mom. I miss you," I said and leaned back on my swivel chair.
"Aw, we miss you too, baby. Your dad wanted to talk to you but he's on a meeting right now."
"It's fine mom. I understand.
"Not sure baby.
