Chapter 27

You stood in the middle of the ice as Hinata clung to your arm trying to keep his balance as his feet slid everywhere.

"Ahh, (Y/N) why is this so difficult!" he whimpered, not wanting to fall again.

"It's not that hard you just need to find your balance and then it becomes as easy as walking" you explained.

"This is not as easy as walking!" he exclaimed. 

"Not yet it's not," you sighed quietly, you had wanted to spend more time with Yamaguchi, but it seemed that if you weren't consistently by Hinata's side he was going to injure himself. You looked over at your friend who was silently struggling while gripping the barrier tightly.

"Hey, Hinata, I'm going to guide you back to the barrier okay" you said. 

"But (Y/N) what if I fall!" he started to panic. 

"I'm not going to let you fall, okay?" you reassured him. 

Hinata clutched your arm so tightly that you thought he was going to cut your circulation off as you slowly guided him back to the barrier.

"Okay, we're here now you can let go, just hold onto the barrier, march like this for a bit to practice" you said as you demonstrated to him by putting your heels together in a V shape and marching up and down.

Hinata let go of your arm and gripped the barrier and almost fell flat on his face. You tried not to laugh but you accidentally snorted which caused Hinata to give you a dirty look. You looked at him apologetically then smiled up at Yamaguchi.

"Now it's your turn!" you giggled as you held your arms out.

"But what about me (Y/N)?" Hinata looked up at you panicked.

"You've already had your turn, I wanna help Tadashi too" you told him. 

"Oh, I see," Hinata said as he blinked up at you.

"Hey, Hinata stop bothering those two, I thought you were gonna beat Kageyama? How are you going to do that from over there?" Hana shouted at the boy from the other side of the rink. 

Hinata looked over in shock because it seemed he had completely forgotten about that.

"Ahh, Hana you need to help me!" Hinata replied.

"Does it look like I can do that!" she exclaimed as you saw her still gripping onto Tsukishima who looked like he was actually decent at skating. 

The thing you were most surprised at however, was how Tsukishima hadn't torn Hana off of him, he might actually be worried about her falling over. You just decided to ignore them, and you held out your hand for Yamaguchi to take. He grasped your hand and started to move away from the barrier. You giggled slightly as he swung his other arm to maintain his balance.

"What it's difficult!" he said.

"It's not that difficult Tadashi, you just need some practice," you told him.

"Easy for you to say, you took lessons in middle school," he grumbled.

"Exactly, I had practice!" you said. 

Yamaguchi rolled his eyes at you jokingly and you carefully pulled him to the centre of the rink. He started to grip you hand tighter as you slowed to a halt.

"Ahh, (Y/N) I think I'm gonna fall," he said as he stared at you worriedly.

"I already told you I wasn't going to let that happen" you repeated to him. 

"Yeah but you're so small compared to me, what if I crush you?" he asked worriedly. 

"I am not that short Tadashi!" you protested. 

Yamaguchi laughed, "I know but I just don't wanna hurt you."

"Pfft, you could never hurt anyone," you told him.

You gently let go of his hand and watched as he flapped his arms about trying to keep his balance.

"Okay, you're a bit better than Hinata, do you want to skate around with me?" you asked him as you took his hands again.

"Umm, can we go slowly please, I don't want to fall over." He asked you.

"Yes, we can go slowly, also, you know it doesn't actually hurt that much when you fall over, right?" you said.

"Well, yeah, but it's just really hard to get up" he smiled awkwardly. 

"Oh, my goodness Tadashi, its not that hard!" you snorted.

"Yeah not for you!" he replied.

"I'll just help you up, silly!" you laughed. 

You slowly skated backwards around the rink as you held onto Yamaguchi who was facing forwards.

"Woo! Look at you go (Y/N)!" Hana cheered you on from where she was standing with Tsukki.

"Why are you so loud?" Tsukishima sighed.

"Shut up Tsukki, my OTP is currently having a moment!" she said as she gave him a disapproving look. 

"Hana we're just skating!" you replied to her.

"Yeah I just don't want to fall over!" Yamaguchi added.

"Doesn't matter it's still a moment," Hana said as she pulled her phone out of her pocket and started taking pictures of the two of you.

"Does she have to do that every time we talk to each other?" Yamaguchi asked you.

"Lets just ignore her," you said as you glared at her.

"AHAHAHAHA I'm going to send these to Kuroo, (Y/N)!" she cackled.

"Don't you dare, Hana!" you screamed at her.

"Kuroo?" Yamaguchi asked confused.

"What? Oh, ummm, he's Nekoma's captain and he kinda sorta gave me his number, I guess?" you answered the boy nervously.

"He gave you his number?" Yamaguchi was starting to get very worried, but he wasn't going to show it.

"Yeah, it's a funny story you see, he and Hana have kind of teamed up to try to get us together," you laughed awkwardly. "I've already told them to stop because we're just friends, right? But they didn't listen."

"Uh, yeah, just friends" Yamaguchi said, looking down towards the ice.

"Wait Hana, what are you doing?" Kageyama asked as Hana shoved him gently in your direction.

"Oops, sorry my hand slipped!" she said as she watched the boy collide with the two of you.

"Ahh!" you all screamed as you hit the ice. Well the two boys hit the ice, you landed on top of someone else, Yamaguchi to be precise.

"Hey, (Y/N) are you okay?" Yamaguchi asked worriedly before looking down to see if you were okay. However, when he saw the unfortunate position you were in, he stopped and froze.

"Ummm, sorry Tadashi," you began.

"Ahhh, don't worry it's not your fault, this is fine, wait no its not, I mean its not that its not fine, its just, this is a little embarrassing" he replied. 

"Ummm, yeah," you said quietly as you turned your face away from him in embarrassment.

"Oh yes, this turned out better than I expected!" Hana exclaimed excitedly as she stood over the two of you with her phone.

You quickly got off of Yamaguchi who lay on the ice in complete shock while you sat on your knees with your face buried in your hands.

"Hana, please just forget that this ever happened" you begged her.

So there wasn't much else I could do with this tbh so yeah. Also, I might not be updating this that regularly anymore because I had an idea for an Oikawa fanfic so I started writing that instead of this one. I still have chapters for this, I'm just running out of them but don't worry I will finish this eventually idk how long its gonna take tho.

Again don't be like Hana in this and push people (especially if it's on ice and they can't skate) I can see why people don't like her I made her way too ehh but I think she calms down eventually.
