CHAPTER TWENTY

Hindi ko alam kung bakit may tumulak sakin para gumising ng mas maaga kaysa sa nakasanayan ko.

It feels like something good is waiting for me.

I arrived at school earlier than usual too. When I reached our classroom's door I saw a familiar man behind my chair arranging something on my table.

I saw how Samuel patted his shoulder and motioned to look at someone who just arrived, which is probably me.

Fresh handsomely looking Caden looked at me. Napakurap-kurap ako at parang nag-slow motion ang buong paligid ko. 'Yung parang wala nawala na ako sa sarili ko kasi sobrang namangha ako sa kan'ya. Normal pa ba 'to?

Someone fake coughed on my back that brought me back to my senses.

"Stop blocking my way, will you?" Asher said mockingly.

I turned to him and I just smirked annoyingly.

Nanatili akong nakaharap sa pwestong iyon kahit na kanina pa ako nilagpasan ng lalaking nandito kanina. I just don't know how to face Caden.

I inhaled and exhaled a couple of times before I finally decided to face him.

Upon turning, I bumped into someone.

He's already wearing his annoying grin.

"There's no way to escape now, my Solhera."

I leveled my eyes on him.

"Hey, not now please. Maybe later, let me think first."

"No, we'll think of it together."

Naputol ang titigan namin nang nagsimula nang umingay at magsadatingan ng aking mga kaklase.

"Hey, princess. Are you Aruzel today?" she asked with brows up shot up.

"What the hell, Farah?"

"Just saying, you're not yourself kasi kahapon. Hmm, glad that you're okay now." she hugged me and then shifted to her own seat.

The class went smooth and to my surprise Caden didn't left. Patay 'to sakin kapag nalaman kong tumakas nanaman siya. 'Yung ibang players naman dumaan lang kanina pero umalis din, hay Caden.

We are dismissed earlier than usual too, I wonder, do things made to be earlier than their usual today? Whatever.

"Guys, wala munang uuwi. May tatapusin pa tayong class project ngayon. 'Di ba sabi naman ng mga teachers tapusin na ngayon habang wala pang 4 o' clock? Hurry up!"

"Farah, let's go!"

She just rolled her eyes on me.

I felt someone's presence on my back and so I turned to know who it is.

He dramatically put his hand on his nape. "Baby, can you wait? Pinapatawag lang ako ni coach sandali."

Kung nakakamatay lang ang titig, kanina pa natumba si Caden sa harap ko. Sinasabi ko na nga ba tumakas nanaman 'to!

Maybe he felt that I'm about to scold him kaya inunahan niya na ako.

"Hmm, don't worry. Hindi ako tumakas, coach really gave me this time. I asked for a break because I wanted to talk to you pero akala niya nakausap na kita kaya pinapatawag niya muna ako. So if you'll wait just a little while?" he smiled like an embarrassed one.

"Okay, then." I turned my back on him but before I could even step, he held my wrist and made me look at him again.

"Sure, Caden. Kung hindi mo na ako maaabutan dito you can just go to our house. I'll wait for you so you take care." I said casually.

He smiled weakly before freeing my wrist.

I don't know but I'm enjoying treating him this way. Kahit hindi naman talaga akong masyadong galit, kahit sa gan'to lang mapakita ko na kunwari galit talaga ako.

I laughed wickedly that caused my classmates to look at me. They just laughed too before teasing me to cooperate.

After an hour, we didn't finished our task but it's already 4 PM so we just decided to go home.

"Bruha ka! Galit na galit si Samantha sayo, bakit ba kasi hindi ka tumulong?" I scolded her more because she's just rolling her eyes.

"Aba't bahala ka kung hindi ka niya isali doon!" my last card because she doesn't really care at all.

"Kung may galit siya sa akin, well same lang kami 'no!" she dramatically flip her hair. "Besides, kaya ko gumawa ng ganoon mag-isa, hmmp!"

Nagsimula na siyang maglakad kaya sinundan ko na pero iba ang daan na tinatahak niya.

"Hey, where are you going?" I shouted because she's walking real fast.

"Come on, we'll meet someone at the field!"she shouted back.

I growled and eventually followed her.

Halos magdugtong ang kilay ko nang nakita ko kung sino na ang kasama niya ngayon.

"Thank you." I heard Caden thanking her.

"Hey, princess! Sorry na napag-utusan lang. I got to go, make up na!" she walked towards me and then gave me a tight hug before running away, alam kong alam niya na sasabunutan ko siya kaya tumakbo nalang ang bruha. "Good luck, prince charming!"

"Hey," he held my hand that made me look at him. "I'll just change, let's talk."

"Sure." with brows still meeting.

"Can I have your tumbler? I'm thirsty as hell." with his puppy eyes and his chest moving up and down, I gave up, I can't resist his cuteness.

Hay, Caden. Kailan ka ba matututong magdala ng malaking tumbler para hindi ka nauubusan ng inumin?

"Oh, here." wow, so girly voice of mine, huh?

I turned around and let him get the tumbler on my bag. When I faced him, my eyes widened.

What the hell.

"Calian Aden! Tumigil ka nga d'yan!" I shouted my lungs out as I snatched my diary out off his hand before walking away from him.

"Solhera." he said gently catching my hands.

"Stop, Caden! It's not funny," I faced him, I can feel my cheeks heated. "Do you know that it's a private property? Huh?"

He looked down.

"It's my privacy! It's mine, only for myself!"

When he looked up I saw a hint of amusement in his eyes. "You still have a diary at your age."

"Don't you dare to laugh!"

He caught my hand and placed the back of it into his lips. "Sure, my baby."

Inagaw ko ang mga kamay ko ngunit mas malakas siya sa akin.

"Caden, it's my.. private thing.." the last words were just like a whisper.

He held my chin and guided my hand to its way on his chest.

"Can you feel it?" he asked softly.

Wala sa sarili akong napatango.

"It's the assurance, so take the risk now." he said and then gave me a kiss on my forehead.

"Huh?"

He laughed and then caressed my cheek gently.

Umawang ang bibig ko ng mapagtanto ko kung ano ang gusto niyang sabihin.

I withdraw from his hands and took a look at the thing that I'm hugging right now.

Nang nakita ko kung ano ang nakasulat sa pahinang iyon, tumango ako at niyakap siya ng mahigpit.

"Admit it now, I will not hurt you. Take the risk, my Solhera. I love you."

Really, things are earlier than their usual today, huh?
