CHAPTER THIRTY-NINE

"Are you sure about this?" he asked looking intently on my eyes.

Tjme flies really fast, Asher and I have been together for almost 3 years now at ito, sabay naming aabutin ang aming mga pangarap.

I smiled. "Why wouldn't I?"

He then hugged me and rested his chin on my shoulder. "Sure na sure?"

"Why does it sounds like you are the unsure one, hmm?"

He withdraw then looked at me with a grin.

"What?" I asked with my brow shot up.

I felt his hands on my waist then I just found myself lying on his arms again.

"I wouldn't question any of my decisions, because with you? I know all of it will going to be worth it."

I couldn't see his facial reaction because I am facing his chest but I could feel how he is feeling.

I don't want no comparing but hell, Asher was really one of a kind.

And he is the kind that was destined to be mine.

A year after my graduation and as soon as we both passed the licensure examination, we decided to try our luck outside the country.

"Ash." I softly whispered.

"Iba ka amore, pangalan ko pa lang ang sinabi mo, nagsitayuan na ang mga balahibo ko." he then fakely coughed. "Paano nalang kaya kung-"

Panira ng moment talaga 'to. Pinalo ko nga.

"Ouch! Nagbibiro lang naman eh."

Tinaggal ko isa isa ang mga daliri niya na nasa bewang ko. "Wala sinira mo na 'yung moment. Doon ka na nga, bitawan mo ako."

"Nagtatampo ka na n'yan?" he asked while he's trying to hide his laugh.

"Hindi bakit? Sinong nagtatamp-"

He then pressed his lips against mine.

"Mahina ka pa talaga." he teased. "Hindi ka pa marunong lumaban."

Aba!

Umamba akong babatukan siya ngunit tumakbo siya palayo.

"Loko ka talaga!" I shouted.

"Mahal mo naman, bleh!"

I watched him as he was retreating back to me.

I can still clearly remember that day when I first admitted to myself that he is really not only a good-looking guy rather, also a gentleman. And that day was when he protected me from that hell like bus station.

Ang pinagkaiba lang dati ay nasa maling tao pa ako, ngayon nasa kaniya na, sa tama na.

"I love you, Asher."

The rain fell when he exactly anchored my arms on his shoulder.

"I love you more than anything and anyone, Aruzel."

He slowly swayed his body teaching mine to follow, when I got his desired moves, we danced.

We danced under the rain with the rain drops as our melody.

"Are you leaving na talaga?" she asked with a hint of sadness in her voice.

"2 years lang naman, Farah."

"Bakit? Hindi naman kita mamimiss ah? Kahit isang dekada ka pa roon."

Who fools who?
