CHAPTER THIRTY-FIVE

I held my parents' hands then put in on my forehead. I kissed them both after but I can still see the sourness in my mother's face.

"Mom, ang mahalaga I am here safe and sound."

"Aba, Aruzel!" she shouted in a controlled voice. "Sana sinabi mo para ipinasundo nalang kita! Delikado ang mag-biyahe ng mag-isa at lalo wala ka pang kaalam-alam sa ganoon!"

I just sighed, defeated.

"Okay po, I wouldn't do it again kung mag-isa lang ako, promise." I said and hugged her.

She then hugged me back. "Sorry anak, nag-alala lang ako. Please, I only want your safety."

"Yes, Mom."

My father joined our hug then said, "Ang mag-ina ko, mahal na mahal ko kayo. Kayo ang buhay ko."

Ano nalang kung malaman pa nila kung ako ang nangyari kanina?

We spent the entire afternoon catching up with each other. How I missed this. I wish that time would pass slowly, I want to spend more days with them here.

2 months of vacation is long, I just hope that it will going to be good on me.

"Mom, Dad, I will just go upstairs and fix my things po."

I kissed them both again then went upstairs.

I finished fixing my things then I fell asleep.

"Mahal!" he greeted.

"Mahal!" sagot ko rin habang kinukusot-kusot pa ang aking mga mata.

"Kumusta ang Solhera ko?" he asked softly.

Ang gandang bungad naman!

I smiled then answered, "Sa'yo pa rin."

I heard him giggled. "Miss na miss na kita, kailan ka ba uuwi?"

"Hmm." I laughed. "You miss me that much?"

"Lagi naman eh."

Of course I won't tell him na nandito na ako sa bahay namin, para saan pa ang hinanda kong surprise 'di ba?

"Hindi ko pa alam mahal, may hinihintay pa ako."

Hinihintay ko pang dumating ang bukas.

I can't believe that we're already celebrating our first year together tomorrow! Cheers to more with him! After all na napagdaanan namin, here we are.

We talked about random things then he decided to cut the call off because he's heading somewhere. It's okay though, at least he gave me time.

These past weeks bilang nalang ang mga panahon na hindi siya ang nagbababa ng tawag. He's always heading or doing something after an hour of call with me. I didn't bother to care about it because I know he wouldn't do anything that would've hurt me. Maybe it's really urgent, and if it is about Kara again, then I will still let him do what she asks Caden to do. I know that they know their limits.

If they lie to me, they basically didn't lie to me, they did lie to theirselves.

After the call I went downstairs then ate dinner. My parents are not around so I guess they went back to work after our catching up earlier. They became more hardworking now, huh?

I asked Farah how she's doing before I go to bed.

"Lord, thank you for everything." I ended my prayer as I closed my eyes and drifted to sleep.

I rolled from the other side of my bed to the other side where my phone was placed.

My set alarm time haven't rang yet and I am already here wide awake. I checked the time and it's just 5 o'clock in the morning and the alarm was supposed to ring at 6 o'clock. Maybe I am just too excited?
