CHAPTER ELEVEN

I never thought that time being constant would give me a chance like this.

Umaayon sa'kin ang tadhana, panahon, at pagkakataon. We already finished the first quarter for this school year but nothing changed between us two.

We became closer and closer each day. I feel so happy, lucky and blessed at the same time. I just don't know if he feels the same way because I know he still mourns for his mother.

He's a part of our family and of course a big part of my life now.

Mom and Dad treat him as their own child, pero alam nila na may pagtingin kami sa isa't isa. It's been months now since that happened but I can clearly remember what I said.

'"Caden, you know I like you right? But I think liking you isn't enough. We need to take our time. Things like this shouldn't be in a rush. We need to know each other more, to know what we truly want. I'm sure when the right time comes, it would lead us to our real score."'

Even though he's just asking if he can court me, ayokong pumasok sa isang relasyon ng hindi ako handa, ng hindi kami parehong handa. Change is really constant, we don't know what may come along.

I never regretted saying those. His answer that time and his actions since then up until now are enough to attest that he's true to me, and willing to wait for me.

'"I will wait for you, Solhera. For the mean time, I will make you fall hard and drown you with my love. I will make sure you can't even get up."'

Simula nang magsimula ang klase, nag-iba ang turing sa akin ni Caden, he let me feel like his baby girl. Some even said that hindi pa nga kami ay binabakuran na niya ako.
It's kinda true though. He made me feel like I am his territory.

"Aru, I'm jealous! Hindi mo manlang ako tinulungan sa project natin tapos yung kay Caden halos ikaw na ang gumawa? You're so unfair you know." I can feel Farah's shrewish side coming out.

Nilingon ko siya gamit ang pinaka-maamo kong mukha, "Napag-usapan na natin ito diba? Alam mo naman na ano eh."

She looks annoyed now. "Ay may favoritism pala? Hindi ako na informed ha."

I tried to hug her but she just resisted and rolled her eyes.

Ilang panunuyo pa ang ginawa ko sa kan'ya at napag-desisyunan na namin na kumain. We ate at the cafeteria when her phone rang. I saw excitement in her eyes when she glanced at her phone screen and saw who's the one that's been calling.

"Call your prince charming, I'll be back before the class starts. Baba!" she kissed me on my cheeks and cheerfully walked away.

I was left alone. I don't want to disturb Caden naman kasi they are having practice with his team mates because they are about to compete later.

He's a member of our school's basketball team. I heard that their coach wants him to be the Team Captain for this year but he disregarded to accept the offer. I wonder what's his reason.

I was about to just scroll through my social media accounts when a hand blocked my vision.

I felt a warm breath at the back of my ears, I exactly know who is this. The feeling that he gives me is just something I don't ever wanna get rid of.

He slowly unblocked my vision, "No phones when we're together so put that down." he whispered softly.

I didn't turned my gaze to him because I know that he's still there and one wrong move, I will be doomed.

Maybe he felt that I don't have any plans of moving kaya he just sat down infront of me.

My eyes are still blurry but when it settled down, my lips parted.

He's holding a cute medium in size light blue box.

Aagawin ko na sana ito sa kan'ya when he spoke, "Why? Do you think this is yours? Hmmm it's not."

Nabitin ang kamay ko sa ere, mabagal ko itong ibinaba at napanguso na lamang.

What's up with him? Biglang sumama ang timpla ko.

I shifted to my bag and checked my things. I stood up when he stopped me from my wrist.

Hindi ko siya tinignan kundi umirap nalang ako sa kawalan.

"Solhera." he said slowly.

"Sol."

"Baby." what the hell? Get a hold of yourself, don't look.

I can feel my cheeks heated up because of that, it's not the first time he called me that way pero iba parin talaga ang dating.

I felt his grip tightened. So you're getting annoyed, huh? Let's see kung hanggang saan ang kaya mo.

I stood still, tried hard enough not to look at him.

"You really won't look?" he said while loosening his grip on me.

I was about to take a glance at him when he let my wrist fall.

"Okay, Aruzel." his last words and then he walked away.

What the f is that? I can't believe him! I can say that this is our first ever fight. He never leaves everytime I act like this. Did I pushed him to his limits? But it's too petty and not worth a fight!

Napalingon ako sa lamesa ngunit inalis ko rin agad ang aking tingin at nag simula nang maglakad, naka-ilang hakbang ako ng mapabalik ang tingin ko roon.

I saw a purple box same size as the box he showed earlier but this one was way more beautiful.

Oh man, I am doomed.

I walked through it and then I saw the card with it.

"For my baby's eyes only."

What the hell did I do?

I got the box and ran as fast as I could. I went to the parking lot because I know anytime soon aalis na ang team niya upang makipag-laban sa kabilang bayan. I looked around and when I saw their car, papalabas na ito ng campus.

I turned around, bigong-bigo ang pakiramdam at nag simula na ring maglakad.

Para akong tanga na naglalakad ng nakatulala hakbang hawak ang box na iniwan niya.

I shook my head upang makabalik ako sa aking sarili. Napalakas yata ang pag-iling ko kaya natama ang mukha ko sa isang braso.

I looked up and saw a devilish smirk,
"Effective naman pala." he murmered.
