October 5th was finally here! Aila had Friday, the weekend and Monday off. Unfortunately Brian couldn't make it with her and as much as he tried to convince her to not go and in specific to NOT drive, Aila shrugged it off.
She had previously packed Thursday night, with Brian still trying to stop her
"Baby think about this. You are about to be in NEW YORK CITY for the first time by yourself! Please amor don't go. Please I'm begging you." He was begging more for his anxiety than for anything else.
"Mosho, I will be fine. Stop worrying so much. It's ok! Breath!"
Brian pouted and tried his best sad face but Aila only laughed. Brian made sure to mark her neck that night, which was surprisingly, because neither of them liked marks in places were they can be seen.
By 10 in the morning Aila was already in interstate 85. She took a bunch of snacks and sandwiches de "pollo" like her mom always made for the road. Her GPS told her a little over 8 hours but she knew she was gonna stop, take bathroom breaks, and as soon as it started to get dark, she was going to look for a hotel. Driving at night or remotely with the slightest darkness around was something Aila couldn't do. Her soulmate layer was too dark for that risk.
Someone had warned her about the tolls. She was ok with this until she got passed Maryland and every other thing was a toll. The higher north she got the faster people drove as well. These motherfuckers were driving like 80-90 miles per hour. Where are the cops when you need them?
After spending half of her cash money on tolls and stopping twice to pump gas, she decided she was going to stop for the day. It was around 5. She had about an hour and a half left of driving to get to New York City. She had reversed a spot on a garage for the whole day of Saturday. Her plans were to drop her car off and be lost in the city, then she was going to make her way to the concert. She had floor tickets but camping out and being exhausted for the concert was not too appealing for her.
Once she found a decent priced hotel room and was settled, she called Brian to see how he was. He kept complaining that he missed her. This was the first time since living together they were going to be apart for so long. Trips were usually planned for both of them, not one.
"Are you doing ok amor?"
Aila roller her eyes at this question, again
"Si estoy bien vos."
"Ok well please, please be careful."
"I will Amor, talk to you later ok." She decided to take an extra long shower once she was done talking to her better half.

In the morning Aila got up early, got ready and left around 6. Her parking was reserved for 7 am- 1 am Sunday.
Maybe because traffic was light but she made it to the outskirts of New York by 7. She paid $15 dollars to get to New York City, which she thought was crazy and the lady working at the booth was soo fucking rude.
Anyways she made her way up and took a right on W 56th St. She was in awe by everything. She was panicking with how close people drove.
It was a madhouse!
She couldn't believe she was driving in New York City, a laugh escaped her lips and she continued to look around and feel overwhelmed.
However Aila missed one important detail as she was taking in the city. At 6th street where the Chipotle Mexican Grill was, her body went into a slight tremble. Her pulse picked up and her neck pulse was twitching.
