Aila felt very out of place. She didn't know what had taken over her, what had made her so brave to be in a car with complete strangers who claimed they are with Big Hit Entertainment. But it was too late for that.
Aila had spent this time trying to calm her nerves down. She was so in thought of calming herself, she didn't pay attention to where they were going. She did great until they got to the hotel, and were making their way up the elevator. When she heard the elevator door open, her heart began to sped up. Once they reached a door and went inside her hands started to sweat.
There stood Manager Sejin, and another man next to him. Aila was beyond star struck. Manager Fucking Sejin with all his 6ft self was standing there!
Shit, shit, shit.
"Hello Miss. My name is James and I'll be the interpreter. Anything and everything will be interpreted and is confidential."
He went ahead and did his introduction in Korean. Both Aila and Sejin nodded their heads.
Everyone proceeded to take a seat in the living room. Aila in a single chair. Sejin and the interpreter sat in front of her.
The interpreter interpreted everything making the flow of the conversation go beautifully.
"Nice to finally meet you....?"
"Aila, my name is Aila."
"Aila. I can assure you that it took a lot for us to find you, but we are very glad we did. Before we begin to discuss what we have plan, we want you to sign this non-disclosure agreement. It's pretty basic. It protects BTS's as well as your identity. As you know, this industry is very hectic sometimes."
A piece of paper was pushed towards Aila. She picked it up from the table and did a quick read instead of paying attention to all the details. Pretty much if anything goes out to the public, Big Hit Entertainment has the right to sue whoever it was and she was agreeing to any other rules the company deemed necessary for them to see each other. Aila couldn't believe what she was reading. Her heart started to beat, but this time with anger.
"Mr. Sejin, I do realize the company wants what's best for your boys, and I'm thankful for that. However I don't see how this document is necessary."
Sejin was getting ready to talk but Aila continued.
"First of all, I bonded with the guys seven months ago, agreement or no agreement, there has been no scandals regarding their private life. I care about them."
"Second of all, if I do say something, two things would have happened: first, Army would eat me alive defending BTS; second you guys would have sued me. I'm pretty sure you know how powerful the company you work for is so this document means nothing to me when the outcome is the same, signature or no signature. You guys would still have the power to take everything from me."
Aila took a deep breath.
"Im sorry but I'm m not signing this." Aila's voice rang thru the room. There was no hesitation, no fear. As she talked she kept eye contact with Sejin, not once lowering her gaze. Aila was a very nice person however she was also willing to defend herself and her respect. No matter the cost.
Sejin couldn't believe the words that came out of her mouth. Was she that stubborn? She had an attitude. He almost felt bad for the guys having such a strong-willed soulmate. This was going to be fun to watch.
"You do realize what this means Ms. Aila?"
"I very much do Mr. Sejin. However I believe talking to your soulmate should be a human right not a legal matter. I can't comprehend how a legal document is needed to bond with my soulmates."
"But you realize who they are." This was emphasized as a question. Sejin, however, was more impressed with the way she help her head up.
"They are human beings and deserve to be treated as such. With respect and kindness, just as you and me. They are not Gods. I know how important they have become to this world, but not in the way they are important to me. They gave me my vision. They showed me the beauty to this world. They stopped me from going blind. No one in this world will ever feel the type of importance they hold to me."
"But if something happens and you are found out as their soulmate... the world is a very cruel place."
"I know this Mr. Sejin."
Sejin couldn't force her to sign the document. He was trying his best to come up with a solution.
"Mr. Sejin I can't meet them anyways. I have a life here, I'm in college and I'm not a resident of this country. I have a special temporary permit that doesn't allow me to travel outside the country. If they meet me now, I won't be able to go with them. And I can promise you the pull they will feel would drive then crazy, it almost did me. They can't meet me and then leave. It would bring too much pain to their souls. I can't imagine how the pull must affect them, with 7 people influencing it."
Sejin saw Aila was a very logical person. Someone with a strong mind capable to make hard decisions. She was going to be great for the boys.
"You know, before you came, the boys were not happy about you having to sign this. They didn't want you to be bound to this company. They were very stern with this too. It's just funny to see you having the same thoughts as them."
Aila smiled for the first time that morning, a really big smile.
"Well great minds think alike."
Sejin laughed at this. She was definitely going to be great for them.
"We are planning a tour in 2020. If everything goes as planned, we will be back mid April and stay till early June. You said you can't go out the country, but you can be with them while they are here. Do you think you can be with them for the US part of the tour?"
Aila's heart skipped a beat, can she do that? The bond she has and the bond the guys have are very different. Can she do this? Lead them into something that's not possible. Oh God, what about Brian?
"Can I have some time alone to call someone on the phone?" Sejin hesitated with her request.
Those troublemakers were in the other room.
After a few seconds, Sejin and the interpreter made their way out. As they did, Sejin couldn't help but looked at the open door that was next to them. He looked nervous and Aila caught every bit of it too.
They left and closed the door behind them. Aila had seen the the look Sejin gave the room. Knowing how strong the boys were feeling about her, she wouldn't be surprised if they were behind the door. She kinda giggled to herself, walked up to the wall next to the door and knocked on it seven times. She wasn't expecting any response but when a knock came back, her one eighth of a soul almost left her body.
She couldn't help but laugh. They were like little kids trying to listen to adult conversations.
The guys standing on the other side of the wall couldn't help but smile at her laugh. It sounded like music to their ears. Music they could keep on repeat forever.
She knocked on the wall three times, and 5 knocks responded to hers.
"I can't believe you guys listened to my conversation with your manager! Oh my god! I should probably introduce myself. It's nice to knock on walls with you guys, my name is Aila Zaid."
