Morning peaked over the high-rise buildings. The soft sun gave false hope of a warm day as Donghyuck walked to school with Renjun to his left.

Both wore scarves and gloves to protect them from the bone chilling weather.

"It's so freaking cold," Donghyuck groaned, his eyes glistening as the light hit him.

Beautiful....That's what Renjun thought as he tilted his head to get a better view in a less creepy way then staring. "Tell me about it."

The silence fell over them, and neither found any need to break it in the early and freezing morning.

They finally arrived to the school, but the walk felt much longer than it had for the past few days. Donghyuck kept his breathing nice and steady as he walked through the packed halls of the school.

"See you in the canteen?" Renjun asked, his voice slightly muffled by the scarf.

Donghyuck hummed while rubbing his hands together for some form of friction. "See you there."

They split in opposite ways to go to their lockers.

Once again, as Donghyuck fiddled with the stubborn lock, he was pushed. His chest came in contact with the cold metal, resulting in a less-than-pleased huff falling from his lips as he turned to face the culprit.

"Oh man, it's you again. I'm so sorry, kid." Donghyuck watched the boy. It was the same one who had knocked him down on his first day a few days before. "I'm really clumsy, dude. I'm in a rush to get to a student council meeting."

"...It's alright. It was an accident, anyway," Donghyuck reassured while waving his hands in a dismissive manner. "No problem at all."

"Sorry again. Our president, Renjun, can be cold if we're late."

At the mention of his new friend, the older perked up. "Huang Renjun?"

The blonde nodded while nervously scratching the back of his neck. "I'm already extremely late, but don't mention to him that I called him 'cold'. He's a bit of a grudge-holder." He laughed lightly, and with that, the boy, whose name he hadn't caught yet again, had disappeared into the crowd.

Donghyuck simply turned back around. "What was that about?"
