Jisung had voiced his concerns to the other boys as the following days he observed Donghyuck and Renjun's relationship which had seemed to have shifted almost.Feeling unsettled by them holding hands, or the boundaries of personal space that Renjun broke, Jisung approached his friends, wanting to aid them in any way possible.
"I think their dating," he had said, a gasp from Chenle and Jeno but not from Mark who had looked him in the eye with an unimpressed expression. "They've been a lot more intimate recently."
That was enough to set off the blaring red sirens that seemed to accompany Renjun.
"Fuck."
Now, the only plan of action was to observe and act upon their suspicions on the skiing trip which had hastily caught up to them.
Throughout the long journey to the mountains, Donghyuck switched between talking about quite literally anything, to sleeping on Renjun's shoulder, to staring out the window quietly whilst embracing the natural slice of heaven that was the stunning views of passing towns. Each town was decorated for Christmas, but each in their own beautiful way.
"Want to sleep?" Renjun asked while placing his hand on the younger's thigh.
It once would have been questionable action for friends, but since the kiss they shared, the pair had begun to date without really making anything official.
They weren't boyfriends, but they were far past being friends.
Donghyuck hummed tiredly while letting his head fall to Renjun's shoulder. A small smile found its way to his face as Renjun placed a sweet kiss on the top of his head before lacing his fingers with Donghyuck's hair, playing with the sandy-blonde locks fondly.
"Sweet dreams, Hyuck."
Donghyuck's eyes fluttered closed, the comforting sensation of his hair being played with settling him down for what he hoped would be a restful nap.
Once sure that the younger was asleep, Mark stuck his head through the gap of the chairs since he and Jeno were sitting directly behind Renjun and Donghyuck.
"What the fuck was that?" He hissed, trying to not wake Donghyuck but trying to show his annoyance to Renjun who merely shrugged, ignoring the venomous glare that Mark was throwing at him.
"I don't know what you're talking about, Babe, and I don't want to," He muttered, waving his hand in Mark's face to dismiss him.
The older gritted his teeth, wanting nothing more than to yell at Renjun, and take control of his life, but he knew that he needed the other a lot more than Renjun needed him. It had always been like that.
Releasing a sigh of defeat, Mark threw himself back against the seat, his eyes straying to Jeno who merely watched the road pass lifelessly.
And so, with no more great ideas, Mark too let his eyes watch the sights of the passing town becoming more and more scarce as they entered the mountains.

They had finally arrived at the ski resort and everyone was shivering uncontrollably, complaining about the severity of the chill. Donghyuck, on the other hand, had lidded eyes. His sleepy body was rested against Renjun's as they waited to have their rooms assigned to them.
"We think that there will only be a few days of skiing, but the snow may get so bad that we'll get snowed in. So, you choose your own roommates since we don't want to pair enemies!" The teacher exclaimed, her gloved hands rubbing together for warmth as she did yet another head count.
The evening was already closing in on them, the once stunning sun fading into the orange sky and sinking below the horizon quickly.
It was a given that Renjun and Donghyuck stayed together. The teacher passed them a key, giving them a smile before moving onto Jeno and Mark, then to Chenle and Jisung.
"See you all tomorrow. Bright and early!" The woman eagerly called before sending a wave to all the kids and making her way to her cabin.
Bidding their friends an exhausted farewell, Renjun brought Donghyuck to their cabin, hoping that it was secluded like the ski resort they had gone to the year before last.
Luck was on his side as he noticed that each shelter was at least a few kilometres from one another. This made sense to him since he had a vague recollection of the teacher mentioning shuttle buses coming around each cabin at seven thirty each morning.
He sighed wearily while holding Donghyuck's hand tightly, noticing that the younger was fighting to keep his eyes open after one heck of a bus ride.
"We're here Hyuck," he whispered, planting a small kiss on Donghyuck's cheek.
Pink instantly spread across the other's cheeks since he was still adapting to their new closeness. He liked it though, and would be lying if he said that he wasn't falling further for Chinese boy, because the constant butterflies told him the truth.
Donghyuck groaned slightly, feeling quite cold when he was placed down, but still leaning against the older.
Renjun leaned forward, placing a kiss on the younger's lips before unlocking the door. A sly twinkle remained in his eyes at the absolute luck. They had the cabin to themselves. Donghyuck was slowly, or perhaps quickly, falling for him. The others were wrapped around his finger in fear for their lives. Maybe the trip would bring about the 'point of no return', which would lead to his ultimate goal. He had been feeling the bloodlust strongly these days...
"Home sweet home," he giggled, allowing Donghyuck to walk in before closing the door behind them.
The younger was still in awe at how beautiful the cabin was, not noticing how Renjun was creeping up behind him.
The brunette looped his arms around Donghyuck's waste, kissing his cheek and lifting him up.
"Boo!"
"Junnie," Donghyuck chuckled as the older placed him down on the bed, caging him between his arms.
A silence settled between them as they stared at one another.
"Love you."
"Isn't it a bit soon-" Donghyuck was cut off by the older's lips coming crashing down on his own. He immediately hummed into the kiss, pulling Renjun in closer before breaking away. "Love you too."
