19. It's Time

Another year was ending and Zen stretched as she wrapped up another day at work. She was still on call over the weekend before Christmas. The plight of being a junior, but she just really wanted to make it happen. Her workaholic attitude sometimes made her work more just to get some more money to save up.

She sighed as she packed up, pausing only to check a few (hundred) sources for updates.

After bidding the two others left in the department goodbye she stepped out, putting one her earphones and texting her mom her destination as she hailed a cab to the mall. She settled in, letting the music wash her over.

I really selfishly want them to make more music sometimes...

One album a year... just one... they sure have done it before, but...

But their lives matter...

And they actually are making things despite it...

I should really be more grateful...

Hobi and Jin are already making leaps... in life... and as always... some "fans" are hurt and more so turning to using hate...

My memories were them are... well... memory... but it's deep and fresh...

She rubbed her eyes a bit when she saw the familiar exterior of the mall through the windscreen. Her sleeve came off wet and as she stared at her misty eyed reflection on the window, it began to drizzle outside as well.

Damn the emotions... I'm in public too... looks like I shouldn't have chosen a song like this for now... but oh well...

She unplugged her earphones, cutting the vocals right as he says "but I still want you". She dabbed her eyes dry and paid the driver before she stepped out and in a few steps she was under a shade and ringing up her mom since they were supposed to meet.
