i parked in my usual space in the parking lot. i had to walk into school by myself today, jimin wasn't at school either. i was expecting him to greet me at my car, but after taehyung told me, it kind of bummed me out. what i didn't expect was for him to go to my house, in search of you.

mom let him in when he told her he wanted to check up on you. jimin got along really well with adults - it was something about that polite, cute boy charm that made adults take a liking to him. if you ask me, it was complete bullshit.

he knocked on your room door, your raspy voice echoing through the door, "i'm not going to school, hoseok!"

"it's not hoseok, it's me, jimin."

there was a moment of silence before shuffling could be heard on the other side. you slowly opened your door, peeking at the boy on the other side, "why are you here? hoseok left already."

"i'm not here for him, i'm here for you."

you furrowed your brows, "why?"

"i wanted to know if you were okay. i've seen you around school lately, you don't look like yourself anymore," he explained.

"i'm fine," you dismissed, about to shut your door. jimin placed a hand on your door, stopping it from shutting.

"no, you're not. someone who was fine wouldn't have bags under their eyes and pale skin."

you scoffed, "why do you all of a sudden care? you didn't give two shits about me before."

"because you're not okay. i know i stopped talking to you and i'm really sorry about that. i've always cared about you, but once hoseok and all the other guys started getting popular, i guess i just followed along with them. looking back, i shouldn't have though, because it's not who i am."

"i just want to make things right, to make you happy. can you please let me in?" he concluded, pleading.

you sighed, opening your door wider for him to enter. you didn't want him there, yet a part of you was able to feel the sincerity behind his words.

jimin smiled, entering your room. you noticed a bag in his hand, which he quickly set onto your bed. you walked towards the bag, peering inside. you held back a grin, pulling out the carton of banana milk inside.

"it's been so long since i had one of these."

"i remember you used to buy a pack every morning and share them out with us. i picked some up for you, in case you wanted it."

you turned around, raising a brow at him, "you remembered that? that was like, two years ago."

"how could i forget? you spilled banana milk on taehyung's pants and people thought he peed himself for a whole month."

you softly chuckled at his words, remembering that moment. it was in homeroom, a class you used to share with yoongi, jimin and taehyung. you tripped over the desk and spilled it on his pants. the nurse's office didn't have a spare pair of pants in his size, so he walked around all day with a wet stain on his crotch. it wasn't long before a rumor spread about him peeing his pants. it lasted for a whole month, and he certainly didn't let you live it down.

you didn't tell him that morning, but his simple gesture managed to make your heart flutter. you weren't expecting him to remember such an insignificant detail, yet the fact he did, really meant something to you. it made you feel something you haven't felt in a while lately - happy. you sat on your bed, opening the carton. you held two in your hand, extending the other one towards jimin. he grinned, taking the banana milk. he sat in your computer chair, the two of you sipping the sweet treat.

an effortless sip of the banana flavored beverage was enough to send both of you down a river full of memories, a bond of solace being formed between the two of you.
