IRINA's POV.

Leaving Paris today after spending five days instead of ten, I felt relaxed. I really needed the trip.

My mind couldn’t help but sway to the topic that had been on my mind these days.

Jase.

We had such a nice time on my birthday, I even slept in his arms (nothing extra happened), although our make out session would have led to, he had stopped.

The next day he had acted like nothing happened between us, avoiding me in every possible way.

He was definitely bipolar.

Ready to go, I got my bag and everything I had brought and left.

I was going to miss it.

At the lobby, I searched for Jase but couldn’t find him.

“Where’s Jase?” I asked Isabella.

“He said he has something to do urgently, pertaining to work. He’d meet us at the airport.” She said.

Clearly he was lying just wanting to avoid me.

Arriving at the private airport, we had to wait for Jase.

Fifteen minutes later, he came.

“Sorry I’m late.” He apologized getting into the plane avoiding my gaze.

That hurt…a lot.

Isabella and Tyler decided to sit together leaving me alone.

I hoped and prayed for Jase to come sit beside me.

Not all prayers are answered as he walked past him, sitting someplace else.

When I tried making eye contact, he avoided.

I decided to watch ‘this is war’ for the umpteenth time, and gradually drifted to sleep.

I woke up before we landed, deciding to go clear things up with Jase.

Walking over to him, he wore a blank expression.

“Can we talk?” I asked still standing.

“Irina, if it’s about what happened on your birthday, it should never have happened.” He stated turning his face away.

I thought of trying to explain to him that it wasn’t but I couldn’t.

I didn’t want to impose myself on him.

Trying so hard to fight back the tears, I walked away.

As a tear dropped, I walked away before anyone noticed.

I was getting used to this kind of life, being used and dumped.

Watching as Isabella and Tyler laughed with each other, it made my stomach churn that they were happy and I wasn’t.

Jealousy.

Landing, I excused myself telling them I had someone to see.

I couldn’t believe that lie myself, but I really wanted to be alone after their suggestion of grabbing coffee.

I grabbed my bags and dared to look at Jase, he looked away.

The chauffeur came and got me and I soon arrived at my lonely mansion.

I laid on my bed trying to sway my thoughts from Jase as I received a call.

“Is this Irina Del Castillo?”

“Yes this is she?”

“This is the St. Marks hospital.”

“Any problem?” I inquired.

“We’ll like you to come over as soon as possible.” She requested.

“Why, just tell me.” I got up from the bed.

“Please just come. It has to do with your dad.” She informed.

“My dad? Okay I’d be there” I hung up and rushed out of the house.

On getting to the said hospital, I went over to the receptionist who directed me to a doctor.

“Miss Del Castillo?”

“Yes doctor.” I said impatiently.

“It’s your dad..”

“My dad’s in Tokyo, so…”

“No he’s here and in really bad condition.” He revealed.

I tried to stay calm.

“He needs a blood transfusion as soon as possible.”

Blood transfusion?

“Okay I can give him mine.” I suggested.

“We checked your medical history that would be impossible as you don’t have the same blood genotype and also you’re an anaemic patient.”

I nodded my head in acceptance but still confused.

“Have you checked your blood bank?”

Yes we have and sadly we don’t have any O negative blood.”

“So what does that mean?”

He hesitated, taking in a deep breath.

“If we don’t get a donor in thirty six hours… your father is likely to die.”
