chapter 25

                        When Lauren and I get to the room we walk in to see Adam standing there with a big tub of ben and jerry’s ice cream for me. I hugged him really tight and gave him a kiss on the forehead. I sit down on the bed and look at the two of them. He had his arm around her so o gave him a weird look. “We know this isn’t the best time to tell you but were dating.” Adam said. I smiled back and gave them both a big hug. “I’m so happy for you.” I said, trying to hold my tears in. “I’m going to run to the store, do you guys need anything?” Lauren asked. We both shook our head and got back to the TV programming that was on. As soon as we heard the door slam, Adam blurted it out. “I talked to josh. He’s really upset. He was just trying to protect you and he thought it was better off if you didn’t know. And he knows he has screwed up and he’s sorry he just wants you back. He doesn’t know what he will do without you.” His face turned bright red and he was almost out of breath. “I needed a break. It was too much for me to handle.” I whispered. The tears began to fall again. “I still love him. With all my heart. I just can’t believe how it’s going to end.” I buried my face in my hands and cried even harder. “It’s not going to end like this. Just take some time and think things through then talk to him. Trust me on this one. If he loves you as much as he says he does, then he won’t let you go and things won’t end like this. And we have our championship game in 3 days so you have to come support us.” He looked at me. And I just stared back. He was right. He was so right.
