Chapter 7

When Josh and I finished our lunch, we walked around downtown until lunch break was over. “Whoops. Looks like were late for math,” I said as I looked as my watch. We both laughed. “Oh well. I guess we have to kill some time doing something else.” He said, pulling me in for a kiss. “Just what I was thinking” I laughed hugging him. “We can go shopping!” I said when I led him into Joshua Perets. “I was thinking of something different, but I guess shopping is and alright solution too.” He said as he followed me into the store. I walked around picking different things up from every rack in the store. I ran into a change room, and tried everything on. I walked out in my 5th outfit I had picked up, and asked Josh the same question I had for the other 4. “How does it look?” and he answered the same as he did for the other 4. “On you, amazing.” I rolled my eyes and walked back into the dressing room to put my original clothes back on. I grabbed all the stuff I had tried on and brought it up to the cashier. As she began to ring everything in I quickly ran to the men’s section, and grabbed 2 shirts and a belt for Josh. When I got back to the cashier, the bill was already at $300.00, and with Josh’s clothes, it went up to $350.00. “And your total comes to $350.98. How would you like to pay for that? Cash, cheque, debit, or credit?” asked the cashier as I fished through my purse for my new visa card. “Debit please” I said “My dad gave me a new Visa card for my birthday next week with $100 000.00 on it.” I said to Josh as I handed the cashier my card. “Well at least we know you will be shopping a lot for the next little while.” He said laughing. “Thanks for shopping with us.” She said as she handed me the receipt, my Visa and my bags. “Come back again soon.” “Believe me, she will be.” Said Josh and we both walked out laughing. Outside the store, I stopped Josh and looked at him. “I got you a little something. Here it is.” I said pulling it out of one of the bags. I handed him the 2 shirts and the belt. “I hope you like it.” He looked at it for a long time. “I love it!” he said as he kissed me on the forehead. “It turns out that I have something for you as well!” he said as he pulled something from his pocket. Josh held out in his hand, a jewellery box. He opened it. “Oh my god, Josh! That’s beautiful!”
