When I arrived at the restaurant, everyone was already and Lauren saved me a seat beside her and Josh. The diner was like an old fashioned diner form way back when. The red booths, the green stools at the counter. And don’t forget the old milkshake machine. There was 4 big cheese pizzas’ on the table and they were still hot so I grabbed a piece and started to eat. Then the servers brought out a platter of wings and salads. It was so good. And everyone was so happy. Finally desert came. It was a gourmet cheesecake. Mmmmm so good! When I was done eating I stood up and gathered my things to leave. “Where are you going?!” asked Lauren. “I have to go home. My mom needs m to help her get ready for her gala tonight.” I replied as I headed for the door. “Bye everyone.” I shouted as I walked out the double door.

I was rummaging through my purse looking for keys when I heard Josh yell form behind me. “Heather you forgot something!” I checked myself for my phone and keys and lip gloss as he came towards me. He stood there. Our chests touching. His nose just an inch away from mine. “What did I forget?” I whispered. “this.” He grabbed my face and pulled me even closer. On hand around my neck, the other at my waist, I draped my arms loosely around his neck and tilted my head sideways. He pulled me in for a kiss. And this wasn’t just a regular kiss. The kisses he used to give me every day when I would go to gym class or the kisses goodbye when he would drop me at home. This was different. This was special. It felt like I was lifted off the ground. Like no one could hurt me. Like we were the only 2 people that mattered. It was passionate. This was kiss that truly told me he was the one. He pulled back and reached into his pocket. He pulled out the sterling silver tiffany and co. bracelet he had gotten me just weeks ago. He placed it on my wrist. And looked into my eyes. He smiled and I smiled back. I hugged him as tight as I could and for as long as I could. Because, well because that’s where I feel safe.
