As we walked into the mall to grab a bite to eat at our favourite restaurant, The Steakhouse, I pulled Adam aside. “Let’s go for a walk.” I said as I led him around the long way. “I need to talk to you about josh.” I stuttered. “I love him with all my heart and I always will but I feel like I’m just getting in the way of his lacrosse dreams and I just feel like it would be better if we took a break. Like look now. He’s not even here, he won’t answer my BBM’s and I feel like he’s hiding something from me. Something important that I deserve to know.” He just looked at me. “Josh loves you.” He said. “and you’re not in the way, he’s just really stressed out with the scouts and keeping his scholarship and he’s just as confused about everything with Chelsea and the kiss so you can’t really be mad at him.” My heart stopped. “The kiss?” I asked. “Yeah the one between him and Chelsea the other night. You know.” He looked at me blankly. “I didn’t know until now.” Adam could see how upset I was, so he grabbed me and just hugged me, the way josh would of. But this was the closet to a hug from josh I would have to feel for the next little while. Because I don’t think I’ll be spending much time with him anymore.
