Chapter 32

                        I proceeded back to the game and realized I had taken longer than I thought! There was only 10 minutes left. I positioned myself next to his mom and watched intently as the game finished and they were tied with 20 seconds left. The faceoff was in the opposing teams end and Josh was on. The centermen won the draw. 15 seconds left. He passed it to Adam. 10 seconds left. Adam passes it to Josh. 5 seconds left. The crowd stands up as Josh puts the ball into the back of the net. “Yes!” I scream as the team dog piles in celebration. All the fans start running down to the field but I stay in my seat to watch in amazement. I watch as Josh walks towards his mom who can barely walk down the bleachers unassisted. He hugs and kisses her forehead. His face so red from the sweat and the heat. He pulls away to go celebrate more with his team when Chelsea appears in front of him pulling him in for an unexpected kiss. He pulled away and looked at her in disbelief. He looked back and me, and Chelsea did too. I just smiled. I knew he would never hurt me. She walked of the field looking flustered and Josh continued to celebrate. There was no point of me sticking around anymore so I got in my car and started to leave the parking lot. I got stopped by Adam standing in front of my with Lauren draped all over him. I just laughed at how ridiculous they looked. I felt a very soft knock on my window. I turned to see a sweaty Josh leaned up against my car. I rolled down the window and he stuck his head in. “Good game. And you scored the winner! Congrats!” I said smiling. “Ya. It felt pretty good. But it was even better having my mom here. I can’t believe you did that for me!” he kissed my cheek. I leaned away slightly and laughed. “Well I was happy to help, but I’m going to go grab some food because I’m starving!” I said as I put the car into drive once again. “come to jimmy rockets with us!” he screamed as I started to drive away. “I’ll see you there.” I said as I drove off into the night.
