Chapter 52
Yrene's PoV
I snuggled into my pillows further, hugging the teddy bear laying there. Wait. Teddy bear? I didn't have those in my room and why is this teddy bear so hard and breathing. I push the said teddy's face out of the crook between my neck and shoulder. And it groans,
"Nini, what are you doing?"
Oh! That's what it was, it was Jason. The same Jason I had told to sleep in my bed with me. I sit up as he jolts upwards with horror in his eyes,
"I'm sorry Nini, I shouldn't have slept in, you were sleepy-" he rubs his hands down his face and looks away for fear he has offended me and the thought brings a smile to my face as I pull his hands away from his face taking it into my own and kissing him full on the lips.
"If you don't remember correctly, I told you to stay."
"But you were sleepy."
"I still wanted you to stay. And that's that."
I kiss him again as he pulls me onto his lap and we sit like that for some time with his chin resting on my head before I realise that he is still in his gala clothing minus the dress jacket and tie.
"You didn't change?"
"Does it look like I did, smartass?" He mocks, pinching my nose.
"Why?"
"You wouldn't let me leave your side, that's why!" I blush furiously at his revelation and he pulls me into a hug.
"Aw, c'mere, it's okay. In fact I wanted to be with you too. And I'm glad you're the one who asked me and that you don't regret it." He kisses my cheek as I burry my head into his neck further, not wanting to let go of the musky scent of his cologne as I make a mental note to keep this shirt of his for myself.
"Jay-"
"Nene-"
We both say at the same time and tell the other to go first. Cliché.
"Fine. I'll go first. Jay I was thinking, not to pressure you or anything but what is the label of this relationship, this whatever we have between us?" I gesture by waving my hand between us and he takes it in his and brings it to his lips,
"Well, of course you're my fiancé."
"I know," I fidget with my fingers of my other hand and he takes that one too and kisses it, "but like that's unnatural and rushed and to be honest I still have a little trouble accepting it and I want for what we have to be real."
He laughs, a hearty, delicious sound that makes my heart warm,
"Makes sense. I know we were forced into it, especially you, because mind you, I already liked you and was single, but you weren't, and I don't think I'll ever forgive myself for doing that to you-"
I cut him off and turn to look at him,
"It's in the past. Let's keep it there." He nods and puts his chin back on my head.
"Anyways, how would you like it if I were to be your boyfriend?"
I beam at him, a bright, full smile and hug him as tightly as I can from my position.
He laughs that hearty laugh again,
"Then I'll be taking that as a yes."
We kiss and I ruin the moment before it can hear up,
"Jay, what did you want to say? Like before this."
"Oh, just that, um, I think your parents are at home."
"They are. But so what?"
He gestures to us and realisation hits me like a hurricane.
"Oh."
"Yep."
"Well, there's not much we can do, other than pretend we slept in different rooms. I mean we really didn't do anything so it wouldn't be considered as a complete lie."
I am shocked by his bluntness and matter of fact tone but I nod hysterically. Picking up his jacket from where I left it on my bed stool last night, he tip toes out of my room and luckily it is only six thirty in the morning and my parents don't wake up before nine on Sunday's. That is, if they are living in the house. Too giddy and high off the feeling that comes with being Jason's 'girlfriend', I cannot go back to sleep. And so I turn on the speakers in my walls and dance to a few routines before tiring and deciding to make some breakfast for myself and my boyfriend. I smile to myself as I knock on the door to the room I sent him to, right in front of mine and am instantly greeted by a shirtless Jason. A sight I could most definitely get used to.
"What? Couldn't stay away?"
"No."
I run my fingernail from his navel, up his abs, right up to his mighty heart and pleased by the way his breathing hitches and his eyes darken, I finally tell him what I'm actually hear for.
"Im going to make breakfast come down after freshening up if you want some."
He gives me one of his devilish smiles and I trot away, swaying my hips a little more than usual to rile him up.
I decide to keep it simple with smoked bacon, fruits in a bowl, eggs and toast. Keeping the menu mind I set to work, connecting my buds to my phone and playing my usual music.

Jason's PoVI stand there watching her as she, in her own little dream world, flips the bacon and cracks the eggs into the pan. All the while dancing to some song unknown to me. I could watch her forever if I had the choice, it's one of my favourite views and her innocence makes me question the fact that she is actually mine, that she wants to be mine. That in itself is enough to send me away to cloud nine. I watch her lip sync and sway her hips for some more time before I walk over to her, grip her waist, moving my own hips in sync with hers. I watch her smile, not in the least embarrassed in the manner I had expected her to be. She continues to skilfully flip the bacon strips and turns off the heat of one of the stoves on which I notice two eggs. I spin her around and tango with her before tickling her until she's laughing her head off.
"St-sto-st-stop." She's giggling like a maniac and I continue my assault till we both fall to the ground.
"Say the magic word."
"Pl-ple-please." She manages to get out in between fits of hysteric laughter.
"That's my baby girl."
I kiss the tip of her nose before she stands up, and turns off the heat completely. She frowns and I figure out that one side of the bacon strips has been burnt. I ease the creases of the frown from her forehead,
"Hey, darling, it's fine. It's still edible."
"You goon! This is because of you!" She starts hitting me like a madwoman, "it's all burnt!"
"Ow!" I pretend to whimper, "baby chill. Look it's all completely fine! Besides I would eat poison from your gentle hands, had they been feeding me it. Delicious, slightly burnt bacon is nothing at all. See." I take a bite from one of the strips for emphasis and I see the smile that I love forming onto those lips that I love as well.
"That's my girl." I pull her in for a hug as she slaps my chest one more time before nuzzling her head there. Soon though she breaks away from me and puts the food on plates before setting them up on the table efficiently. We eat, mostly I eat while my girlfriend just picks at her food only taking a few bites of fruit here and there, and speak of the old times. I shouldn't have been but I was pleased to see the way her face fell when we got to the part of me dating Mandy and I decided that someday, soon, I would tell her everything, the way I fell in love with her, why I didn't tell her and why I became what I became.
"You're hanging out with me tomorrow after school."
"Why?"
"Because you're my girlfriend."
"Shut up. I won't let you control me." She points at me with her fork and I place my cockiest grin on my face,
"Well, miss, then I suggest that you clear your after school schedules for me. Because you will be going out with me, on our first official date tomorrow, then the day after that, then the day after that, then the day after that and then finally till forever."
"You're such a tool."
"A handsome tool."
"Shut up!" She groans and I can't help but annoy her further,
"No, you shut up!" After all it was payback for swaying those tempting hips at me the way she did earlier. We continue to bicker for some more time before she decides it's best for her to change into something more 'appropriate' before her parents venture downstairs. I decide to go up to my assigned room too, to rest up a little and together, my arm dangling across her shoulders we make our way upstairs.

Ross's PoVAt first I'm enraged, more than anything, when I see that player albeit my best friend touching my sister but soon my anger dissolves into relief when I realise that my baby sister seems a lot more happier than she has had in a long time and I smile to myself before letting them be and letting them have their privacy. Slowly, I was realising that perhaps, what Raymond had told me and shown me, the excerpts from Jason's diary, were actually true. Slowly I was starting to see the adoration in his eyes every time I saw him look at my sister. I bless them and pray that their happiness remains intact forever as I make my way back to my room.
