Sitting on your bed, you strummed on your guitar, allowing a soft melody to fill the room. Your girlfriend was still at work, so you had some time to yourself.

Your relationship with Wilhelmina was almost like a fanfiction. The two of you had started out as boss and assistant, but somewhere down the line had developed feelings for each other. She had a very hard exterior, but once the two of you got to know each other, you discovered she was a softie just like you.

There had been some disagreements, like every couple, but you always managed to get through it because at the end of the day, you still loved each other.

Recently, you had wanted to do something productive, so you decided to learn how to play the guitar. Mina had fully supported you, she was always asking you to play something for her, and your response was always "I'll play a song for you when I get the hang of it."

The truth was, you wanted to learn a song you had always associated with her, and it had to be perfect. You had been practicing for about a week, and you were nearly done.

Strumming softly, you closed your eyes and began to sing. Unknown to you, Mina had just entered the house and upon hearing the guitar, she made her footsteps lighter, quietly heading to the bedroom.

There was a silence that took over, with both of you just gazing into each other's eyes. You didn't want the moment to end, just the two of you together, basking in the presence of the other.

"Did you like it?" you asked, grinning at the older woman.

She didn't say anything, and just pulled you in for a soft kiss. You put your guitar down on the bed and put your arms around her, careful of her back.

Once you pulled away, neither of you said anything, instead you allowed yourself to be wrapped in her arms.

"Did you really just study guitar for that song?" she inquired, "Or did you study that song because you wanted to learn how to play the guitar?"

You chuckled and pressed a kiss to her hand, "That's my secret to keep, Mina."

"You made me wait that long to hear you sing, and you're not going to answer? That hardly seems fair."

"Well, since you must know," you said, "I have always loved that song and whenever I listen to it, it reminds me of you. Because every moment I spend with you, I fall deeper and deeper in love."

"That was sweet."

"I poured my whole heart out to you and that's all you can say?"

"Well, I was going to say the same things, but wouldn't that be redundant?" she replied, kissing your head lightly, "Your voice is amazing, you should sing more."

"I can sing, but amazing isn't the word I'd use," you chuckled.

"Suuuuure," she dragged out the word, "Yeah, right."

The two of you laughed for a moment, just enjoying each other's presence before you spoke again, "Well, how was your day, Ms. Venable?"

"Much better now that I'm with you."

You rolled your eyes at her cheesiness, but lay your head on her shoulder anyway.

"Hey, Mina?"

"Yes?"

"I love you."

"I love you more, my sweet girl."
