A quiet day like this rarely happened, and you were planning to take advantage of your time alone with your girlfriend. Sneaking into the living room where she was napping, you sat next to her and lay your head on her lap.

"What are you doing, Y/N?" Tammy groaned sleepily, stirring slightly.

"How are you feeling, Tam?"

"I don't know. How should I be feeling?"

"Maybe a little happy," you shot her a lopsided grin as you looked up at her, "They left us alone for a while. What do you feel like doing?"

"I wanna cuddle. You never let me hug you when the others are around."

"Excuse me, I do. You're just always too busy to return my affection."

The blonde smacked her lips and wiped off some drool from the corner of her mouth, "Potato, tomato, can we just cuddle, please?"

"You do realize those are two different things, right?" you replied, hugging her anyway while Tammy started running her hands through your ever-so-unruly hair. "News flash, nobody cares about grammar, missy."

"I do, ma'am."

"Well, you're a special case, doofus."

"Aw, you called me special."

This remark earned you a light hair ruffle from your girlfriend, who laughed, "I also called you doofus."

"I don't care," you shrugged in response, "You still said I was special."

"It's quiet today. Where did the others go?"

"Lou and Debbie are probably making out somewhere, Constance and Nine went to the skate park, Amita and Rose are hanging out, where, I have no idea."

"What are we doing, then?"

"I want to try something on you."

"Should I be scared?" Tammy joked. You rolled your eyes at her and went around the couch, running your fingers through her golden hair.

"I practiced Dutch braiding on my sister."

"Debbie let you touch her precious hair?"

"Yes, she did. I'm special that way."

Both of you stifled giggles, wanting to preserve the quiet that lingered in Lou's property. Fondly separating strands of her hair, you started braiding, your tongue poking out of the corner of your mouth.

"What else do we plan to do while we've got this place to ourselves?" your girlfriend asked, breaking the silence.

"Wait, I'm already halfway done."

"How does it look?"

"Fuck, it unraveled. I gotta start over."

"I have a feeling we're going to be here for a while, then."

"Maybe," you remarked sarcastically, "if you keep moving, that is."

"I'm not moving, Y/N. I have never sat this still in my life."

"I'm very nearly done," you said, continuing the braids that you had been making, which seemed subpar in your opinion, but you pitied your girlfriend's scalp a whole lot, so you decided to stop already, "I think that's done."

She ran a hand over the finished braids in admiration for the meticulous way you had done it, as you pulled something from your bag in the corner, "What are we doing now?"

"Can you brush my hair, please? It's been really frizzy recently."

Plopping down on the floor in front of her, you handed her a hairbrush and let her gentle hands start untangling the knots in your hair.

"This is the part where we're supposed to be gossiping, you know," you quipped.

"What do you want to gossip about?"

"How are the kids?"

"Way to start a conversation, Ms. L/N."

"What did you want to talk about, then?"

"I don't know, really," she said with a shrug, her fingers running through the tangles, "Anything. I just love talking to you."

"Well, I think that Debbie and Lou should just admit that they're dating."

"I know, we all feel the same, don't we?"

"They're literally all over each other every time they can be. And those two bitches are literally so whipped, yet they can't see it."

"Well, they may be criminal masterminds, but they aren't the quickest to catch on to simple things. Neither of them know we're dating, do they?"

You laughed hysterically, coughing and wheezing at how funny Tammy's observation was, and it took you a full 30 seconds to recover, before you managed to choke out, "For all their brains, sometimes I wonder why they haven't interrogated us about our relationship yet."

"We are pretty good at pretending, aren't we, though?"

"Which is why you're the fence."

"And which is also why you're my right hand man," your girlfriend said flirtatiously, throwing you a wink.

"Ma'am, no winks. that's illegal."

"Aren't we criminals?"

"You do know what I mean, right?" you chuckled, "Danny told me always to be the one throwing the winks, never to allow myself to be the one subjected to it."

"I do get what he means, though. It's better to have the upper hand."

"Ouch, Tam, not so hard, please?"

"What did you do with your hair to get it all tangled like this?"

"I don't know. very honestly."

"You're a phenomenal liar. How should I know if you're telling the truth?"

"Do you trust me?"

"Maybe, Aladdin."

"I don't know whether I should take that as a compliment or an insult."

"I'll let you decide what that meant."

"You're so enigmatic, Tammy."

"You say that like it's a bad thing."

"I'll let you decide what that meant, then."

"Well played, Miss Y/N, well played."
