Stray Kids 9th Member ~ Shine Pt.1

Side Effects Pt.1

Imma about to say this real quick, the two kiss but it's because Sammy got drunk and you know what they say~ a drunk man's actions are a sober man's thoughts. (Most of the time!)

They were promoting Side Effects and laughing and joking. Sammy was just glad he could ignore the looming movie on his shoulders and Aiden texting him about everything going on in the US. He just wanted to get away. Ignore it all. So that's what he does. He goes to the company and trains. He ignores everyone even Chan. It hurt him to ignore Chan but if he was to keep his head clear from any emotion he had too.

"Your an emotionally constipated idiot." Chan says from the doorway. He was watching Sammy frustratedly dance to Side Effects. "What?"

"Let me in and let me help you. You've helped me. Now let me return the favor."

"In the end everyone I let in gets hurt." Jonghyun and Matthew flash through his mind. As quickly as those thoughts come they disappear. Chan places a hand on Sammy's shoulder. "I haven't gotten hurt. The others haven't gotten hurt. Jackson and Sana, they're not hurt. Irene and Mae-Li aren't hurt." Sammy's heart hurts. He closes his eyes to ignore the way he yearns to be held like he was loved deeply. He misses Jonghyun. He misses Matthew. He misses Chan.

Chan holds his hands as he looks at him. "Let me in." Sammy bites back his feelings and gives a small smile. "I miss Jonghyun-Hyung." Chan hugs him. "He's still with you. In your heart. In your actions. He's not gone."

"His love for me isn't gone just manifested... into you." Sammy hears the way Chan's breath hitches. He feels Chan's smile on his neck, "You're a nerd."

"It taught me many lessons."

"I'm glad."

Chan and Sammy were messing around in the studio. Sammy was ignoring the way his heart beats at Chan's wide smile or his cute laugh. He giggles when Chan makes a funny face from something Sammy said earlier. These moments were always precious. Just the two of them goofing around. "AYO GAYS!" Minho yells as he comes in. Sammy laughs. "Welcome to the party Minho."

"You call this a party, come on, we'll have a real party at home!" Sammy looks at Chan and shrugs.

The Stray Kids dorm was filled with the smell of candy and sweat. The living room is where the other eight members were dancing and having karaoke night. Chan and Sammy snuck away to clear their head from alcohol. Sammy was acting wasted but he was totally tipsy. They chuckle as they open the window and sigh. "Can't believe Minho dragged us into this." Chan chuckled. Sammy rolled his eyes. "We asked for it. Mainly me~ I neeeeded this fun." Chan smiles and bumps Sammy's shoulder. Sammy looks at Chan with a goofy grin.

In the midst of this Minho peaks from behind the corner and watches as the two lean in. He was hoping they'd kiss. Honestly since Sammy got sick in 2018 Minho had been rooting silently for their relationship. There was always odd tension between them that only him, Felix, Irene, and Hyunjin could decipher.

Their lips touch and Minho can see the exact moment Sammy just melts. He decides to leave to give them space. The two pull away smiling. Guess Sammy was tipsier than he thought. They start to laugh with carefree smiles. Is this what it's like to be completely free of worry? Sammy asks himself. He hoped he'd find this eventually. "I'd like to kiss you again." Sammy says. Chan nods. So they kiss again, and again, and again and it just feels so right even though a small part of Sammy's brain tells him to stop.

In the background Sammy hears Infinity by Jaymes Young play and agrees with the lyrics. "I'll love you for infinity."

In the morning the Hyung's have hangovers. The maknae's are grumbling about how they shouldn't have drank all that alcohol. Sammy remembers everything from last night and touched his lips. Chan eyes him touching his lips. "So he does remember." He thinks. He feels slightly betrayed though because he thought the other was absolutely drunk when that happened. He just hoped Sammy wouldn't bring it up. Whatever happened last night stays during last night. But that was wishful thinking as Sammy strides up to him and pulls him to a silent room.

"We kissed last night."

"More than once." Chan adds. "Yeah.. Did you like it?"

"I mean... yeah.. but it's been two years since Jonghyun... shouldn't you be taking a break from relationships?" Sammy nods but he sighs, "I enjoyed our kissing... I really did. I don't think I'll ever fully recover from Matthew or Jonghyun but... as long as I have you by my side I can face the world." Chan gives a proud smirk before he suppresses it and gives a smile. "Does that inflate your ego Channie?"

"Oh definitely." The two lean in but stop before they can actually kiss. "What happened stays between us ok?"

"Understood. Just to let you know your lips are pretty." Sammy walks out at that and Chan just stares at his retreating figure. "When will he not seise to surprise me?"

From now on no more Woojin. I'm only mentioning it because well we saw or heard what happened through Stays and the victims.
