I finished watching Itaewon Class today and I just have to say, I LOVE PARK SEO-JOON! Why is he so hot? 😩 Anyways~ Sammy's review! (June 30th, 2020)

Stay: Oppa did you watch Itaewon Class?

Sammy: Hmm yeah.

Stay: What did you think of it? Including V's song Sweet Night?

Sammy: Well the drama is beautiful and Sweet Night I can relate to... a lot actually. Falling in love with your best friend. *soft smile*

Stay: I didn't think Jo Yi Seo and Park Saeroyi should have ended up together.

Sammy: *hums* I in fact loved that they ended up together. After all Soo-Ah worked with the enemy forever and then at the end she became the whistleblower. She didn't deserve Saeroyi.

Stay: But Yi Seo is ten years younger than Saeroyi!

Sammy: *chuckles* Heechul and Momo are thirteen years apart. Is ten year age gap a big deal? It's an excuse. Work is an excuse for love as well. I put off loving the person I do now because of being an idol and because I know how Stays would react. How everyone would react. I couldn't just hurt Stray Kids because I so foolishly fell in love but we can't stop our emotions. So I just accepted how I felt and watched them from afar. Like Yi Seo did with Saeroyi... she watched him suffer and go through so much and felt bad for his past. I can relate to her so much. I felt as if, if she could tell Saeroyi she loved him I could tell the person I love, that I love them.

Stay: So you enjoyed the drama?

Sammy: *nods* I hate Geun-Won and Dae-Hee. Geun-Soo was just... misguided by his love for Yi Seo which I can understand as well. We've all done stupid things for love.

Stay: Ain't that the truth...

Sammy: And I felt terrible for Saeroyi... middle school graduate, ex-convict... yet he still was confident that he'd be the number one in the food industry with his pub... he suffered for years at the hands of those in power... those who thought themselves higher... You see a lot of what happened in Itaewon Class in Korea and businesses across the world. My own family has acted that way... Kyulyua's I mean... that they're higher than everybody else... you're not, you're worse than others for thinking that. Everyone is equal despite race, age, gender, money... we're all human which makes us equal. No one person can be far above someone else. Just because you have money or power doesn't mean shit to me. If you're not a person who's trustworthy, kind, or whatever if you're not human... like that psychopath... Aish...

Stay: You seem mad about something in the show.

Sammy: I am. Jang Geun-Woo has everything handed to him on a silver plate. We're opposites.... he doesn't exist but those like him in the real world do exist. Which is exactly what Itaewon Class was trying to get out. It's a wake up call for everything. I also realized something during the drama. Hyun-yi when exposed by reporters because of Geun-soo was a violation of her privacy. Sure she knew it would happen eventually but does it matter that she's transgender when she makes good food? Ya'll are homophobic secretly because you refuse to eat food made by someone who is different. Someone who's a shining diamond. Because you're jealous of what strength they have. You're the sensitive one not them.

Stay: You seem very protective of the drama and the beliefs of the drama.

Sammy: Of course I am. My friend Sophie is transgender. Do you know how many people denied her being an model because she was transgender? Do you know how many nights she spent crying about how she wished she was normal because of all the hate she received on social media. Sorry doesn't make up for the pain she experienced because of those assholes. Sorry doesn't make up for Jonghyun's death nor Sulli's nor Goo Hara's. Sorry doesn't make up for the death of anyone. Sorry doesn't make up for the pain a rape victim experienced. Sorry doesn't make up for the pain of someone. If you're really sorry then you have to show it in actions instead of words because Actions do speak louder than words. So if you're sorry to their families you do something when you see hate about them online and in person. Be courageous like Park Saeroyi. That might save someone's life.

Stay: Sammy are you ok?

Sammy: I've just been thinking a lot lately. And since Itaewon Class touched on many sensitive topics I've been more on edge recently. I feel anxious to do something. Like I want to say something but am to worried it will ruin Stray Kids, JYP and others.

Stay: What could be so bad?

Sammy: Many things. In Korea many things can ruin artists careers while in America being worried about it would be petty.

Sammy went onto say how Itaewon Class brought up many past ideas for songs. He also mentioned how he liked the Park Bo-Gum Easter Egg at the end of the drama.

I would have continued writing what Sammy thought but then he would have gotten heated about Jangga Co.
