Zephyr sat on the edge of my bed with her arms crossed holding her phone in her right hand. Her face showed no emotion.
"Okay Lux sit your tiny butt down we need to talk." She said. I sat down on a chair and rolled over to her. She held up her gold iPhone 6 with pink case. "So when I was at your house, I got Brookes's number. And I got a text from him today telling me to talk to you? Now I know what I am to talk to you about, but I am going to give you a chance to admit to me what happened." She crossed her arms tighter.
"You're out of your mind."
"I'll buy your dinner tonight if you tell me." Ugh. She had me. I liked when she took me for dinner because it was always good food because she was a food snob.
"Fine. When we were at my house, right before you showed up, Elliot was still avoiding me and I confronted him about it, and I started crying and he was like "I can't look at you and actually control myself enough to not kiss you." And then we kissed and zephyr I regret it so much and everything reminds me of him and it's miserable. everything I wear. All of my stuff. I can't handle it."
"Awe baby," she rushed over and hugged me.
"You know what you need? A makeover!" She squealed. I groaned but she grabbed her purse and dragged me out of the door.
We went to the hairdressers first. I didn't see it, but zephyr showed the lady what she wanted. They started by turning my chair around so I wouldn't see the mirror. I felt them take my hip-long sandy blonde hair in a ponytail halfway down my back and cut just above it. They showed the footlong ponytail of curls to me.
"We are donating this to make a wig for kids with cancer." The lady explained.
Then she took some liquid and painted it onto the ends of my hair. She sat me in a chair for fifteen minutes and then brought me to the washing station. She rinsed out my hair and added something called toner. She pulled me back to the chair and cut my hair into layers and then blow dried it into its natural curls. She turned me around.
My long sandy blonde curls had transformed into sandy blonde curls that blended into a very light blonde. The curls fell a good inch and a half below my shoulders. Zephyr paid the lady, with much objection from me, and we left.
"How do you feel about tatoos?" She asked.
"What the hell? As long as you're getting dinner still." I responded. She laughed. There was a tatoo shop down the street.
Let me just say that tatoos hurt like hell.
I got the elsa paredi heart tattooed onto that hollow between my ankle and heel. It was the first piece of jewlery Elliot had ever given me. But it wasn't because of that. It was because it was a necklace my mother had worn every day my whole life. It was a reminder of her.
We finally went out to dinner at a cool Mediterranean resteraunt and then headed back.
It was fun.
