There will come a ruler whose brow is laid in thorn. Smeared with oil like David's boy. Oh-lei, oh-lai, oh, Lord.

LUNA AND HER PEOPLE were erased by the waves of the ocean by the time Casey and the others roused from the sleeping drought. Casey pressed her fingers into the sand and closed her eyes tight, thankful she hadn't been poisoned. Clarke ended up admitting that their plan to have Luna help them was officially over, and Casey sarcastically agreed given they had no way to find Luna again unless she wanted them to.

⠀⠀⠀The rover didn't have any battery left, so they were forced to take a break as they charged the solar panels. Casey sat in the rover—exhausted, stressful, and nearly losing her mind—while Octavia and Jasper walked together around the clearing, Clarke rested against a tree, and Bellamy worked on setting up the panels on the hood. When he finished, he got inside and shut the door.

⠀⠀⠀Stupidly, being alone with Bellamy caused her to think about the last time they were alone together. It was embarrassing but hurt less than thinking about Luna's people or forcing ALIE out of Raven's body. She had drunkenly kissed Bellamy, and neither had said a word since.
