"CHANCELLOR ON DECK."
⠀⠀⠀Rian followed Pike into the holding cells while her head spun. She had gone to Casey the night before to talk and perhaps find some answers she was missing. But Casey hadn't been there or ignored her, and now she was trapped between the man holding Arkadia together by a thread and her old friend about to be marched to his death. She needed time to think, and she had none.
⠀⠀⠀"I thought I had more time," Kane whispered, noticing their arrival. His eyes flickered to Rian's, but it was too heavy and painful, so she darted her gaze away.
⠀⠀⠀"I'm not here for you," Pike said, then addressed the Grounders in the cell. "Each of you is guilty of the same crimes as Kane, and as such, you will share the same fate... death."
⠀⠀⠀A woman with a furrowed brow spoke in their language, and Lincoln quickly stood beside her. He said something to her that calmed her before he walked to the doors and glared at Pike.
