"Hey." Murata casually greeted, two of his five fingers on his left hand were wrapped in bandages.

"Murata-san!" Tanjiro smiled as he watched Murata pull up a seat in between him and Inosuke. "How have you been lately?"

"It's been hell." he dejectedly said, slumping. "Those Pillars are way too scary."

"Who?" Zenitsu wondered, not knowing who the Pillars Murata were referring to are.

He then began to rant about how they got intense on how the quality of soldiers is taking a nosedive and how he was one of the “farmed” demon hunters in the Natagumo mountain mission.

"Ah, that's right! I didn't know (Y/n)-san was a pillar." Tanjiro told Murata, he knew there was something about you that he couldn't quite place his finger on but he didn't expect you to be a Pillar.

"(Y/m/n)-san is a Pillar? What's that?" Inosuke asked quietly in contrast to his loud voice since his throat got crushed on the recent mission.

"They're really strong people, though I really don't like the one with scarred face. He hurt Nezuko."

Murata stared at them as if it was common know. "Eh? You don't know who she is? It's understandable is you didn't know other Pillars but you should've at least heard of her right?" their response was a uniform head shake that meant no.

"I just learned about Pillars today so I know nothing about them."

"I grew up in the mountains."

"I only know that my former mentor was a former Pillar."

Murata sighed and brought a hand to his face. "Well, I guess since you're new recruits you wouldn't know but (Y/n)-san is popular–well not popular, more like well known because she has a tendency to fall asleep."

"Tendency to fall asleep?" Tanjiro asked as he tried to recall if you ever did that. "Oh! I think I remember her falling asleep. It was after a mission and she encountered us." he said, a chill running down his spine when remembering you almost punched him. "Doesn't that just mean that she fell asleep? Even if she falls asleep, she can wake herself up can't she?"

"I don't know. Demon hunters don't usually see demon hunter Pillars often since they're busy so there are only rumors going around and I think there was that one time she fell asleep under a waterfall."

"WATERFALL?!" Zenitsu exclaimed, Murata merely nodded. "How the heck do you not know you fell asleep under a waterfall?!"

"Well, Pillars aren't your typical people. I'm not sure they're even human at this point." he shrugged.

"Why are all cute girls not normal?" Zenitsu sulked. "I really thought (Y/n)-san might be the one for me."

"You probably wouldn't want to tell her or the Pillars that." Murata advised.

"Why?" Inosuke asked. "Is there something going on?"

"Or could it be that she's possibly engaged?" Tanjiro suggested.

"ENGAGED?!" Zenitsu shrieked.

"Yeah," Tanjiro nodded. "She's 14 so she's probably not married yet unless I'm wrong of course, but there is a ring on her finger. So for now I'm guessing she's engaged."

"Ah, no. It's nothing like that." Murata said, dismissing the thought. "It's actually because everyone believes (Y/n)-san and Tokito-san are dating."

"What do you mean everyone believes they're dating?! It's either they are or aren't!" Zenitsu argued. "So which one is it?!" he was really hoping for it to be the latter.
