"Are you sure you're not coming with us (Y/n)-san?" Tanjiro asked.
He was first wary of you, not really knowing how to act around someone who could easily stop the three of them and kill his sister easily, but there was a charmingly mysterious scent around you and you didn't seem to pry nor care about the demon in the box. So he started to trust you and saw you as an older sister figure (despite him being older by a year) and often ran to you whenever Zenitsu or Inosuke bothered him since you easily scared them away with just a glare.
It had been a while now and they're all recovered so they had a mission on Natagumo mountain. You've also taught Inosuke to read and write that he's fairly good at it, there are things he doesn't get but this is a major improvement compared to before.
"I think the three of you are suited for this mission. I should also go home by now." they nodded. "Ah, by the way. Catch." you said, throwing the other two the afterlife stick.
7 left.
"What's this for?"
"Ask Zenistu, I don't have the energy to explain." the old lady proceeded sparking something before they left.
You said your goodbyes to Hisa and made your way home. It was surprising that you did a good job at staying awake. You looked at the direction of Natagumo mountain as you pondered whether or not to help them since you had nothing better to do.
"I guess it's better than going home to Mitsuri's bone crushing hugs for now." making your way to Natagumo mountain, it definitely felt weird there. There was something about it you couldn't explain.
You expected a mission for the three of them to be relatively easy since their rank was low but it felt like there was something stronger than them in there, though it was obviously not a bother for you.
Rustling through the bushed since you had no idea where the proper entrance was, you brought up the sheath of your sword to block a sword that swung on front of you.
"So, care to explain why you're hitting a fellow demon hunter?" you asked coldly, whoever hit you seemed human since they backed away (it should also be noted that their was no hostility towards you).
Finally getting out. You saw three people, the first one of the girls had short black hair, another girl had long black hair turning pink at tips, and the last one had black hair. You could've sworn you've seen these trio before somewhere but you couldn't exactly place your finger where or when you met them, it was the tip of your tongue though.
"(Y/n)-san! It's so good to see you! Did you come to help us?" the one with the pink tips yelled as she threw your arms around you. She seemed so happy to see you but you couldn't quite exaclty say the same, you didn't even know who she was.
"I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but have we met before?" she pulled away, staring at you with a loss for words (she felt like someone punched her in the face and told her she was a nobody).
"Awww, (Y/n)-san doesn't remember us anymore! This sucks." the girl with the short black hair wailed as she deflated.
"Ah, wait," you paused, trying to remember where you saw them. "Naki, Sumi, and Murata? You're the guys from the mission a while back, the one with the sleeping compounds right?" Sumi inflated upon hearing you remembered her and the others.
"Yup! That one!" she beamed (whoever punched her seemed to apologize and told her she was a very important person).
"Wait, you were sent here because of the numbers dying right?" Naki asked. She was a bit worried that you were gonna berate them since so many of them died.
