So I know for a fact that there is a good percentage of you guys that hate me for the recent chapter. I just have two things to say.

First of all, I'm glad you're invested in the book to the point of hating me and the second being,

Love you all too 😘

"Hm? Could Lord Akaza be dead?" Upper Moon Two, Doma, turned his head to the side. "I felt a strange sensation got a moment but I guess that was just my imagination." He shrugged. "As if Lord Akaza had became some kind of different creature..."

"But he's gone now, so I'll never know." He laughed before turning back to the both of you (you were slightly worn out but it was worse for Kanao), tilting his head as he tried to remember what he was saying he remembered. "Oh, that's right! I asked for your names!"

"I am Kanao Tsuyuri," Kanao said, introducing herself as she gritted her teeth. "Kanae Kocho and Shinobu Kocho's younger sister."

"Really now?" He tilted his head. "Judging from the characteristics of the meat, there doesn't seem to be any blood relation," he said before turning to you, a patient look on his face as he waited for you to introduce yourself.

You wanted curse at him but you looked at Kanao, she could use a little more time to recover and it was a good thing if you stalled him here.

With no other choice left, you entertained Upper Moon's Two request. "(L/n) (Y/n)."

"(L/n) huh?" he repeated before he grinned. "Your family was the one Hantengu-dono was so obsessed with!" he said, clapping his hands. "Anyway, we're you the one that defeated him?"

"It wasn't me," you confessed, clutching the blade in your hand tighter. "I only aided in his downfall."

"Is that so?" He brought a finger to the side of his face, thinning deeply about something. "I probably shouldn't be consuming you in memory of Hantengu-dono but how can I resist? Most young girls are tasty, so I really can't hold myself back!"

"Speaking of girls, that's right. Akaza-dono's defeat was inevitable." He turned to the side, staring blankly at the wall. "Because he would never eat girls!"

He turned to you two, his arms spread as he gave you a smile, as if he was doing you good by sharing his nonsensical words. "I told him eating women were so nutritious because they can raise babies in their stomach so eating a lot of them makes you stronger really fast," he continued, "But not only would he not eat them, he wouldn't even kill them!" he said like it was nothing you and Kano could understand. "In the end, his lordship tolerated it, but I wouldn't call it fair. Not only was he allowed to live, but he was also allowed to live."

There was an eerie silence in the area as Doma stopped talking, looking down at the ground. "But." He frowned, "He's now dead."

He brought up a hand to his face, closing his eyes as he let his tears fall. "He was my friend but now," he couldn't continue, he was too busy crying that it slightly disgusted you.

"That's enough," Kanao spoke. "You can stop spouting your lies now."

Doma blinked in surprise, he looked dumbfounded. "What?"

"I know every word coming from your mouth is a thoughtless lie. You don't even feel sad, right? Not even a little." You looked at Kanao as she continued, "Your pallor hasn't even changed, even though your “best friend” died. You haven't paled, and your face isn't flushed with anger."

"That's because I'm a demon," he explained.

"Demon's eyes are so moist so they don't blink but their blood circulates the same as humans so their pallor changes," she retorted. "As she died, Kanae said she was sorry for you."
