"Oh, Kyojurou. It's good to see again." you greeted. "It's been a while since I last saw you."
"It has! How have you been (Y/n)?" he asked cheerfully, walking beside you as he gave you one of his signature back pats.
"Aside from temporary anemia, I'm pretty much healed up." you answered. "How about you?"
"Well, nothing much has changed for me." he said. "Oh! That reminds me, what was your answer to his confession?" Kyojurou asked, this being the second time someone asked you today and it only further confused you.
"Confession? Why are you asking the same thing Shinobu-chan asked?" you asked, your voice slightly irritated. "What confession art you talking about?"
"Oh? I see, that just means he didn't confess yet." he laughed. "I'm cheering you both on!"
"Okay?" you said, unsure, giving up on trying to get answers from anyone.
"By the way, I'm thinking of getting a present for my brother soon! Wanna come with me and get a present for Muichirou?"
"Huh?" you raised a brow. "I understand if you want to buy a gift for Senjurou but why do I have to come along? And why specifically for Muichirou?"
"Who knows?" he hummed, smiling. "Well, you can help me pick up a gift for my brother regardless, what do you say?"
"That's......" you trailed off, thinking about his offer.
"I'll treat you to some (F/f) while we're there." he added.
"Sure. I'll help you pick a present." you said without a moment's hesitation. "It's important to remind someone you love them."
"What a liar." he laughed. "You're just coming along for the food aren't you?"
You remained silent, looking away. "Pretty much......" you nervously said. "But I'll do my best to help pick a suitable gift for Senjurou."
"I know you will." he smiled, ruffling your hair. "We'll do the shopping after I finish my mission."
"You're going on a mission?" you asked, removing his hand from the top of your head. "What kind of mission?"
"There's been reports about demon hunters who've gone missing in the Express Train. So I'm gonna go on board and check it out." he explained, you got a bad feeling in your stomach about this.
"Can I go with you?" you asked.
"As much as I would like your help. Your health comes first so just stay here and recover!" he beamed at you.
"Alright then, if you insist." although the uneasiness in your stomach didn't disappear, he was a Pillar and you had to trust him that he'd be fine.
From there on you continued your cheese dip vs. cheese spread argument.
You two ended up parting ways with a compromise that cheese is used as a dip for the cheese with the spread.
You stopped in your tracks, looking around. "What was I gonna do again?" you asked yourself. You got absorbed in your conversation that you just walked with him and forgot what your objective was. "Right," you spoke, suddenly remembering. "Muichirou."
"Still," you sighed. "Where is he?" you rubbed the back of your neck, walking wherever. "I guess there's still I don't know about him."
You didn't walk with a destination mind, your plan was just to wander the place before you paused, noticing something oddly white around a tree branch.
"Kaburamaru?" you called out hesitantly. There was no way this was Kaburamaru, that snake usually hangs out with Obanai and you were by no means near his place and he wouldn't be that careless to let his buddy be like this.
