"Dude, that was so easy, if I didn't get at least a ninety, it's biased. I hope other kids do bad. I want a good curve," Michael said as we finished the test on Tuesday. I laughed at him as we walked out together. I hadn't said a word about what happened in the cafe and thankfully, neither had Atlas. We both acted like it was nothing. I didn't say a word to him, he didn't say a word to me. Things were normal.

The normal for us was screwed up. Dirty looks, eye rolls, bluntly rude behavior.

"Hey guys, there's a party this Friday by a Western High kid, where Arabella used to go. Amukta is going to be there, Zahir told me to invite you," Daniyal said catching up to us.

"Can I come?" Michael asked and I nodded at him.

"Sure, but it's been a while since I've talked to most of them. I hope it's not uncomfortable," I said to him.

"Isn't that the rich kid snob school?" Atlas said from behind Daniyal. I hadn't even noticed him. "You used to go there?" he said looking at me. He raised a brow and gave me an odd look and I plainly nodded at him.

He was right. Western students were quite financially privileged. They weren't snobs, I think, but then again, I went to school with them and was friends with them. I probably didn't see it because I was one.

"You coming?" Daniyal turned his head back and asked Atlas.

Please say no. I will sacrifice my second born.

Please say no.

"Sure. Another excuse to black out? Why not?" he said laughing. He was right. Western kids had the money for the expensive drinks, which only made it better.

Don't drink and get laid.

No. Get tipsy and get laid.

An amazing idea. Should I?

No.

Will I?

Probably.

I pulled out my phone and texted Amukta.

I'm coming to the party on Friday

omg!! it's been so long since you've been to a western party i've got so many people i wanna introduce you too!!!

She was right. It had been nearly a year since I had gone to a Western party. It didn't make much sense to me though because I loved parties.

The rest of the week had gone by the same. We had a couple tests, a couple projects, and a lot of homework.

As usual, I did nothing but stress over balancing out working and homework. I took an extra shift on Saturday and Sunday and just hoped I could get my work done.

I spent the lunch period doing my homework in the library and had a couple extra hours on Friday before I went to Amukta's house to get ready.

I threw on a spaghetti strap short black dress with silk like material that I had bought at Ross for fifteen dollars a while back and threw on a couple gold necklaces.
