"You okay mama?", August asks watching Kennedy sit in his lap.

"Never better.", Kennedy says smiling, "Everything finally seems right, now that my daddy's back. I missed him.", she says pushing her lips to the side.

"I missed you too, even though I ain't went nowhere.", he shrugs making her laugh.

"You play too much.", she says laughing, making him do the same.

"Nah seriously though, what's he doing now?", he asks.

"In there talking to Bryson and Aaliyah.", she says grabbing his cup and drinking out of it.

"Now what if I pissed in that cup?", he asks looking at her.

"I would've beat the hell outta you.", she says looking at him blankly.

"Teaches you to not drink out of anyone's shit without asking.", he says.

"Nigga what's yours is mine, and what's mine is yours.", Kennedy says taking another sip of his drink.

"Oh?", August asks smirking.

"Stop it, you perv.", she laughs a little bit and sits the cup back down.

"Girlaaaaa", he says making her laugh slightly harder.

"August.", she says as her laughter dies down.

"Wassup?", he asks.

"I want a baby.", she says pouting slightly, making his eyes widen.

"You want a what?", he asks raising his eyebrow.

"A babyyyy. Give me Amiri or Kiana pleaseeee.", she says cupping his face and smiling.

"Yeah, no. You've been going on and on about how you wanna be married before we have kids and I'm sticking to that shit.", he says shaking his head.

"Okay, I guess I can't argue with that.", Kennedy says pouting.

"Sure can't, so fix ya face.", August says making her look at him, but she's still pouting.

"Aight.. Smileeee for me.", he sings, making a small smile appear on her face.

"I don't like youuu.", she says covering her face and smiling.

"I love you too babygirl.", he says taking her hands off of her face and pecking her lips.

"What's up baby?", Kennedy asks looking down at her.

"When we doing the fireworks?", she asks.

"Whenever your uncle stops stuffing his face.", she says looking at August eating two hamburgers.

"Uncle Aug!", she yells walking into the kitchen.

"Wassup lil mama?", August asks swallowing his food then taking another bite.

"Will you hurry up so we can do the fireworks?", she asks poking her bottom lip out, making him laugh a little bit.

"I'm almost done, you wanna do me a favor?", he asks bending down to her level.

"What is it?", she asks looking at him.

"Get everyone outside and ask Mr. Kenny to go to the garage and get some of the fireworks out.", he says.

"Okay!", she says excitedly before running out of the kitchen.
