"Ready baby?", Aug asks flipping his hat to the back.

"Only if you are.", Kennedy says fixing her hair under her beanie.

"I am, let's go plan us a wedding!", he exclaims picking her up and spinning her around, making her laugh as her puts her down.

"Let's go plan us a wedding baby.", she smiles, grabbing his face and pecking his lips a few times.

-

"You good babe?", he asks.

"Aside from the fact that my legs sorta feel like jello, my back pops every time I stretch, and it feels like a needle is poking me in my throat, I'm great.", she smiles before drinking some of her tea.

"I was joking when I said all that.", he chuckles. "Howeverrrr, the fact that it actually happened, tells me I did my job.", he smiles as she stares at him blankly, making him laugh.

"You did baby, you did. Still doesn't take away from all of this though. The only thing that bothered me when we went to sleep was my legs, I woke up with the other stuff.", she says. "Moral of the story, I'm under construction."

"Under construction?", he asks.

"Under construction.", she repeats.

Narrowing his eyes at her, he smirks.

"Aight, I'm sorry baby.", he says kissing her cheek.

"It's fine. I mean, the sex was phenomenal, so it's worth it.", she chuckles, sipping some more of her tea.

-

"Hey! August and Kennedy, right?", An older black woman greets them as they walk through the door.

"Yes ma'am.", they say in unison.

"Nice to meet you guys, I'm Mary Whitfield. Y'all can follow me into my office.", she says starting to walk in front of him.

-

"So, we're here to start planning a wedding. Do you guys have an idea for the theme, or do you want me to show you some suggestions?", Mary asks sitting down behind her desk.

"We have an idea. We both loved the idea of having a winter type theme since that was the season we met.", Kennedy says.

"Beautiful. So you're wanting a soft white, baby blue, kind of thing, right?", she asks.

"Yes, exactly.", she says.

"Do you guys have a place in mind about where you want the theme to be based out of? Like a Winter in Paris, which I highly recommend, or just a Winter Wonderland?", she asks.

"Both seem beautiful to me, but what do you wanna do boo?", she asks looking at August.

"Um, I like the thought of Winter in Paris. Paris is the city of love, and our love started in the Winter. It's very clever, actually.", he says.

Happy that he said exactly what she was thinking, a smile appears on her face.

"I feel the same way.", she says taking his hand and interlocking their fingers.

"Awesome.", Mary sends them a soft smile. "What are you guys' budget? If there is one."

"There isn't one.", they say in unison.

"Okay.", she chuckles.

"Before we go any further, we have a question.", August says.

"Ask away.", Mary says.

"We were hoping to do this in early September, is there any way we could make that possible?", he asks.

"What exact day were we planning on doing this?", she asks.

"The 17th, the day we got engaged. However, if we have to do it before or after that day, that's totally fine. Right baby?", he asks looking at her, waiting for confirmation as she nods in response.

"The 17th of September...", she mumbles, putting on her glasses and searching something up on her laptop.

Moments later, she speaks up again.

"There's actually several places in California that haven't been booked for the 17th if you guys want to get into venues today.", she says.

"Can we, please?", he asks.

"Of course.", she smiles.

-

As they leave the building, they feel relieved with how much they got done. They found a venue, got an estimate on costs, a confirmed date, and confirmed theme.

"Hungry?", August asks.

"Starving.", Ken says.

"Texas Roadhouse?", he asks.

"Ew, no. I got sick the last time we ate there, remember?", she asks.

"Oh yeah, right. Red Lobster?", he asks.

"Yessss! I live for their biscuits.", she smiles.

-

"Boy you better get in your car and get these biscuits, I'm not driving all the way to UCLA's campus.", Ken says on the phone with Bryson.

"Then I guess you don't really want the biscuits.", she says making a face as if he can see her.

"That's what I thought.", she chuckles. "We'll be back home around 3, no later than 3:30.", she says. "Okay. Love you too, bye.", she says hanging up.

"Bryson?", he asks finding a parking spot.

"Yeahhhh.", she says texting Angel back. "You wanna keep Symphony this weekend?", she asks.

"Yeah, I miss my baby.", he smiles.

"I miss her too. Plus Angel and Elijah need a break. I can only imagine how rough it is being parents to a newborn.", she says.

"Symp's like four months old, right?", he asks parking.

"Mhm."

"I thought so. Anyways, yeah we can keep Symp for the weekend. They gone fuck around and make another one.", he chuckles.

"Knowing them.", she says, doing the same before getting out of the car.

-

"Open.", Aug says dipping the mozzarella stick in marinara as Ken opens her mouth and he feeds it to her.

"Mm.", she giggles, chewing it. "This is really good babe."

"Right?", he says eating the rest of it. "You want another one?", he asks.

"Please?", she asks with a small smile on her face, making butterflies form in his stomach.

"Of course mama.", he smiles taking another one and dipping it before feeding it to her.

Thought I'd tell y'all how mf broke I felt writing that last chapter. I actually looked at mansions and stuff and the house that I used is being sold for $5.4 MILLION!!! I was real deal crying in broke.🥲

Anyways, this is kinda a short chapter. It was longer, but it bothered me to see how long it was, so I'm dragging it into another one.

Enjoy!💕
