"Babe, you suck.", August says looking at Ken's score on the bowling screen.

"Really? I didn't know.", Ken fake gasps, walking back to him and sitting on his lap.

"It's okay mama, we gone get you right.", he chuckles. "Noonie, it's your turn.", he says.

Waiting for her ball to roll back, Amaiya stands up and walks to their lane.

"Stop that.", he says feeling Ken sucking and biting on his ear.

"Sorry, habit.", she chuckles.

"I know, you weirdo. Ayeeee that's wassup baby.", he says seeing that she got a strike. "Gimmie some.", he says putting his hand out as they do their handshake.

"My turn!", Kayden says excitedly while running to the lane.

"Kay, be car-", Ken starts, but before she could get it out, she slips and falls on the lane.

Standing up, she walks over to her, helping her stand back up. "You okay?", she asks dusting her pants off.

"Yeah, thank you.", she says.

"No problem, get a strike so you can beat your uncle.", she whispers in her ear and smiles.

She smirks mischievously and nods and Ken stands back up and walks back to August.

"What you just tell her? You bet not be cheating.", he says.

"Ain't nobody cheating, shut up.", she chuckles, sitting back down on his lap.

Looking up at her, he smiles. "You're so beautiful.", he says leaning up and kissing her cheek.

"Thank you handsome.", she blushes. "That's what I'm talking bout Kay!", she smiles raising her hand up as Kayden walks to her and gives her a high five.

"Good job twin.", Aug says kissing her cheek.

"Ayeeee it's my turn na.", Chaylin stand up, starting to walk to the lane.

"When we have kids, I really hope we have a boy first.", he says.

"Why?", she asks.

"I love my girls and you with all my heart, don't get me wrong, but I'm tired of being the only nigga in the house.", he chuckles.

"Understandable.", she chuckles.

"Yoooo that's wassup bestie, come on!", he says giving her a high five as she sits back down.

"Uncle Aug can we get some ice cream after this?", Kayden asks.

"Of course, watch out boo.", he says tapping her thigh as he stands up.

"How can you eat that?", Aug asks scrunching up his face at her cookie dough ice cream.

"No, how can you eat that?", Ken asks looking at his mint chocolate chip ice cream.

"This here is good shit.", he says taking a spoonful in his mouth.

"You never putting them lips on me again.", she says going back to eating her ice cream.

"We'll see how true that statement is in about five minutes.", he chuckles.

"Shut up.", she smiles.

"Okay, since these two aren't gonna say anything, I will. Are you guys gonna tell us what happened?", Chaylin asks.

"What happened with what?", Aug asks.

"You know what, aren't you two supposed to be broken up?", she asks.

"Ohhh, that.", Ken mumbles.

Kennedy

Everyone around us, meaning Chris, Trey, Jay, Elijah, Angel, Ashley, Steph, and Bryson know that the "breakup" was fake and we were only doing it to lure whoever broke into my salon and destroyed it, out into the open. We just never thought about how we'd explain it to the girls. We actually weren't even planning on telling them, to be honest.

Looking at each other, they think about what to say.

"You wanna tell them?", Aug whispers.

"No, you tell them.", Ken whispers.

"I believe it'd be better if you told them."

"No it wouldn't, she's your ex."

"Your point? Your ex was involved too."

"Did he crash my salon? No, so get to talking.", she says pinching his side then folding her arms.

"Aight.", he sighs before he starts speaking again, "Y'all remember Mariah?", he asks.

"Brownskin?", Chaylin asks.

"Lot of hair?", Amaiya asks.

"Super mean?", Kayden asks, making Aug chuckle a bit.

"Yeah, her. Aight, so this is what happened.", he says starting to go into it.

August tried to explain to them what happened in a way that wasn't confusing, but failed. Eventually, he finally found a way and stuck to it.

"All I gathered from this is that your exes are psychos.", Chaylin says scratching her head.

"As long as you understood everything, that's all I care about.", Aug chuckles.

"So you guys were never broken up?", Kayden asks.

"Nah, it was fakey fake.", Aug says with a closed mouth smile.

"Good, cause I wanna be in the wedding.", she says smiling.

"Only you.", he chuckles and shakes his head.

"August, I'm scared.", Ken says standing at the door, holding Aug's hand.

Now with it being Thanksgiving, August made sure to keep the promise that he made to his mom, that she'd finally meet his fiancée. That, and simply just coming to see her.

"Both of us can't be scared now..", Aug says looking down at her.

"Y'all some weirdos.", Amaiya mumbles walking around them and knocking on the door.

Seconds later, the door swings open, revealing August's mother, Sheila.

"Nana!", Chaylin exclaims engulfing her into a big hug as Amaiya and Kayden do the same.

"Hey babies! I missed y'all so much.", Shelia says hugging them back as she kisses the top of their heads and smiling. "Guess what?", she asks bending down to their level.

"What?", they asks in unison.

"I got some cookies on the stove, y'all go in the kitchen and get y'all some.", she whispers as they scurry into the kitchen.

"Ma.", he whines, "Now they finna be up all night, thanks.", he rolls his eyes.

"Watch who you rollin' yo eyes at boy and come here.", she says opening her arms as he smiles a bit and goes to hug her.

"Awwnn.", Ken says softly, smiling at the wholesome moment playing out in front of her.

"I missed you mama.", he sniffles into her shoulder.

"I missed you too baby." she says rubbing his back.

They stand there for a few more seconds, speaking inaudible things to each other before pulling away.

"Okay.", Aug sniffles and wipes his tears. "Mama, this is my fiancée, Kennedy, Kennedy this is my mama.", he says pointing back and forth between the two.

"It's so nice to finally meet you Ms...."

"Just call me Mama Shelia baby.", she smiles.

"Okay.", she smiles. "It's nice to finally meet you Mama Shelia.", she says before they share a warm welcoming hug, making August smile.
