As Shelia and Kennedy have their own conversation, August turns around to be met with a recognizable figure.

"Trav?", Aug asks.

"Aug?", Travis asks.

"Damn.", they mumble in unison.

"Wazzam nigga.", Travis smiles, extending his hand to him.

"Wuzzam.", August smiles, dapping him up then hugging him.

"We don't have a date just yet. Hopefully we can do it sometime next year, we just have a lot going on aside from the wedding that we have to handle first before we start wedding planing.", Ken says shifting her weight onto her leg.

"Understandable. From what Aug tells me, you two just bought a house?", Shelia asks.

"Yes ma'am, we did.", she smiles looking over at August who's talking to his brother.

Feeling her eyes on him, he turns his head. Taking in her appearance, he bites his lip and winks at her before giving his attention back to his brother.

"You have any pictures?", she asks.

"Actually, yes.", she says taking out her phone to go to the pictures of the house then showing her.

"Oh my goodness, this is beautiful.", she says scrolling through the pictures.

"Thank you, we're gonna try to get moved in after the holidays.", she says as she puts her phone back in her pocket.

"What y'all chatting it up about over here?", August asks wrapping his arm around Kennedy's waist.

"The wedding and the house.", Ken says wrapping her arms around him and looking up at him.

"Yeah?", he asks tapping his fingers against her hip.

"Yeah, it's a really beautiful house. Y'all did good."

"Thank you.", he smiles.

"Could I trouble you for the bathroom?", Ken asks.

"Of course, it's down that hall down there to your right.", Shelia says pointing down the hallway.

"Alright, thank you. I'll be right back.", she smiles, making her way down the hall.

"You've got a good one there Aug. She's beautiful, respectful, got a good head on her shoulders, and most importantly, she loves you just as much as I do."

"Thank you mama, I love you too.", he smiles, leaning down and kissing her her cheek.

"Aug!", Trav yells.

"What nigga?", Aug asks, earning a slap to the head by his mama. "Sorry mama.", he snickers, walking to Travis.

"Tell me 'bout this fiancée of yours.", he says taking a sip from his beer as Aug sits down next to him.

"Nigga, she here. Just ask her whatever you got to when she come out the bathroom.", he chuckles.

Seconds later, Ken makes her way back into the living room.

"You good boo?", Aug asks.

"Yeah, I'm fine babe.", Ken smiles about to sit next to him, but is immediately pulled onto his lap.

"You know better.", he says.

"Sorry.", she giggles.

"You aight.", he smiles. "Trav, this is my fiancée Kennedy, Kennedy, this my bro Travis.", he says leaning back.

"Nice to meet you Travis.", she smiles extending her hand.

"We hug down here, love.", he says standing up as she does the same and they share a welcoming, non-awkward hug.
