" Ashley, can you hear me?" The doctor asked multiple times while shining a mini light into her eyes. It was nearly morning and a few of us are just trying to comprehend what is happening.
We were literally sitting around her bed resting when out of nowhere the monitor started beeping louder and we could see her body moving like she was choking on something.

" can you guys wait outside please" the nurse said kindly while shoving us out the door before closing it in our faces. I just held onto my panicking grandsons as my husband and Sam tried to get someone to tell us what's going on.
Doubt rushed over me knowing the only reason machines beep like this is because something bad is happening, and for a few seconds I thought this was going to be the last of Ashley Ann.

We couldn't do anything we just stood there watching as nurses hurried in the room obviously helping out. Tears fell from both Isaac and Kane since they have never experienced anything like this, you can just tell they thought they mother was dying just like we did.
We all moved into the waiting room taking a seat trying to figure out what is going on, but eventually our nervous prays were answered when we saw the doctor walking towards us.

" is she okay? What the hell happened?" I asked sounding like a frantic mother as I try to find answers, but for some reason the doctor seemed pretty calm and actually pretty happy.

" She's breathing again on her own" he answered happily, smiling as he told us the good news, but I literally couldn't comprehend or really understand what he's saying.

" what??......" I asked, shock coming over me since i was expecting to hear bad news but for some reason he was telling us good news.

" back then was her responding to the machine, sometimes people can panic and that's why their heart rate comes up, so we have to quickly remove the breathing tube from her throat before she starts choking" he explained telling us why it sounded like she was going into cardiac arrest, she wasn't actually dying she was responding to things.
I literally just stood there not knowing what to say or what to do.

" so this is a good thing?" Sam asked, seeming confused just like I am. One Minute we are thinking she's dying the next she's breathing on her own it just seems way to good to be true.

" yes it's a very good thing.... We have also just given her something to ease her out of the induced coma, now it might take an hour or so but she should be awake by morning" the doctor answered, all these different emotions and thoughts coming over me as I hear him say she's going to be awake in a few hours.

" so she's okay?" Kane asked, with a massive smiled plastered on his face while hearing the good news.

" yeah we still have to do some test when she wakes up but right now we are just happy she's out of critical condition and of life support" he continued on, watching as we all started jumping up and down like school girls knowing Ashley's going to be okay, and that she's back with us.

She did it, my little girl fought and she survived when people thought she wouldn't make it, she has proven so many people who doubted her wrong.

" can we see her?" The boys asked barley being able to stay in one spot or keep calm.

" yeah of course" he smiled before the boys ran of to her room with us following behind them desperate to see out little girl.

As soon as we entered we saw her lying there with her eyes still closed, but far out it felt good to see all the tubes have disappeared and she's breathing on her own, I can't help but smile while watching The boys run to her side and latch on to her hands just eager for her to fully wake up and show us that smile of hers.
