-Oscar's POV-
I woke up groggily, breathing in the air of the room I realised that Malki wasn't in the room. Sitting up I looked around the room a low whine slipping out from my lips. Getting off the bed I walked over to the dresser where a note was waiting. It was written in a beautiful handwritten font. Picking it up I read through what Maliki had written.
"My love, I am sorry I am not here with you. I went to the council to demand that they leave us alone. I will return in a day or two. Alphonse and Dawn will cater to your every need while I am away. I love you my little wolf- Maliki"
Bringing the paper up to my face I inhaled Maliki's scent my heart fluttering as I replayed his message in my head. I had no idea I would get a mate who cared so deeply for him. A knock at the door pulled me out of my thoughts. As they twisted the handle I looked down at my form and realised I was naked. Quickly shifting into my wolf form as Alphonse entered into the room.
"Lord Oscar you are awake, We were instructed to watch over you while Lord Maliki visits the council" Alphonse stated a smile tugging at his lips as he spotted me in my wolf form.
"Thank you for all you do Alphonse," I thought to him knowing he probably still couldn't hear me.
"I am here to serve you any way I can Lord Oscar" Alphonse replied as he held his hand over his chest and bowed to me.
"You heard me" I yipped my tail wagging from the overwhelming excitement.
"Yes sir, now what would you like for breakfast" Alphonse chuckled as my stomach rumbled. If I was in my human form I'd have been blushing intensely.
Thinking for a moment before I replied: "I want to hunt for my own Breakfast."
"As you wish sir, shall we go then, Dawn will accompany us as well" Alphonse agreed as he held the door so I could walk through it.
Padding through the door into the hallway I decided it would be faster to skate down the long hallway. Calling on my gift I spread a sheet of ice on the ground.
"Very well done sir" Alphonse praised as he started skating next to me his movements fluid and controlled.
"Just Oscar is fine Alphonse" I huffed getting tired of his overly formal tone. He was my friend I didn't want him to use titles and honorifics.
"Ok" Alphonse agreed as we got to the door where Dawn was waiting with a smile on her face.
"So are we hunting for breakfast today Oscar," Dawn asked as she reached down and scratched between my ears. I allowed the gesture because I had an itch I couldn't reach.
"Yes, we are" I yipped happily into their minds watching in delight as Dawn's face lit up in surprise.
"I'm so proud of your progress Oscar" Dawn praised with an ear-splitting grin on her face.
Growling softly at all the attention I walked over to paw at the door. My wolf was beginning to get impatient to be let out for the hunt. I could also feel my vampires desire for blood well up as Dawn opened the door.
As soon as I left the house I started to bound through the forest. I gave Alphonse and Dawn no mind as I let myself run with sheer abandon. The wind in my fur the and the feel of the ground beneath my paws was exhilarating. Slowing down as I picked up the trail of a small animal. With my nose to the ground, I follow the trail until I came across a female deer that was caught in a snare. Tilting my head to the side as the deer bleated upon my arrival. Why were their traps in the forest I thought this was vampire territory?
"Damn it those human hunters have been on Lord Alric and Lady Celeste's territory again" Alphonse hissed as he dropped down beside me from above.
"We will have to inform him when we get back, but for now Oscar you may put the creature out of its misery" Dawn stated as she two dropped down from the trees.
Realising I would get hurt if I made the kill with just my werewolf abilities an idea came to mind. Using my gift I summoned an ice pike that impaled the dear through the head. The Crunch of the bones as the ice passed through caused my instincts to perk up. Not to mention the fact all three of us got sprayed with blood as we were standing to close.
Looking up at the two vampires next to me I burst out laughing, though because I was a wolf it probably just sounds like snorting. They were covered in blood from head to toe. Each of their expressions was one of amusement and slight anger.
"Well, that's one wat to make a kill" Alphonse chuckled before he sat down and grinned.
"Take your time eating Oscar I doubt anyone will bother us" Dawn chimed in before she took a seat next to Alphonse.
Flicking my ears in acknowledgement I trodded towards the deer. The scent of a fresh kill causing both my wolf and vampire to perk up. Biting into the flesh I growled happily at the flavour. I haven't had fresh meat since I made that fresh kill with Maliki. I gorged myself until my wolf and vampire were at peace in my mind.
Stepping away from the kill I started to search for water. Luckily there was a small stream not even three steps away from the carcass. Lapping at the water I whined happily as the cool liquid slid down my throat.
On the way back to the manor Alphonse carried the rest of the deer back saying the cooks at the manor would make good use out of it. I just hoped Maliki was alright. I knew I would start feeling his absence the longer he was away. Shaking my head to get rid of those thoughts I decided to focus on spending my time with Alphonse and Dawn to the fullest. I would begin showing my pregnancy very soon.
