Aurora

Odyssey and I stood in front of Harry's car. He stood opposite of us not making any sounds or movements.

"Are we ready to go?" Odyssey asked in hopes to try and break the tension. Harry turned his gaze to her. He looked her up and down judgingly before meeting her eyes. He turned away from her after a while, now turning his attention to me.

"Who is this?" He questions me. His voice wasn't as deep and scratchy as it was the other night when he showed up at my window. It was actually very soothing. Oddly.

"I am her best friend. Odyssey, a pleasure to meet you." Odyssey grinned at him. She held out her hand for him to shake. He looked down at her hand, then back at her. He looked down at her hand again for some minutes before turning around and walking away. He walked to the other side of the car and got in the driver's seat.

"The disrespect." Odyssey hummed.

"I'm going to get in the back seat, you go in the front," I told her.

"Uh uh, no way. He's your fiance, you're going in the front." Odyssey pulled open the back door after saying this. I stood outside with a pout on my face. I debated on whether I should sit in the back with Odyssey or in the front. My mother always said it was rude to leave the front seat open. I never understood why.

I jumped up in fright at the horn sound from the car. No manners. I pulled open the car door, getting into the passenger's seat. I sat back and said nothing as Harry pulled out of the driveway.

"So. Where are we going?" Odyssey moved forward, her head in-between the drivers and passengers seat. I waited for Harry's response. I had no idea what store we were going to either. I didn't even have any money on me. I don't know what my mother wanted me to buy, or what I'm supposed to pay with.

"Seat-belt." He murmured. I gave him a confused look. Not that he was looking at me. His eyes were fixated on the road.

"What?" Odyssey asked.

"Put your seat-belts on" He frustratedly spoke. I rolled my eyes at his tone. How rude he can be. Never in my life have I met such a disrespectful being. I pulled the seat-belt over my body, clicking it into the lock.

"No need for all the attitude sir," Odyssey said. She sat back in her seat, clicking the seat-belt on.

The rest of the car ride was spent in silence and not the comfortable kind. I can tell Odyssey didn't enjoy this. She hated quietness. I didn't really enjoy it myself either. We've been driving for a good twenty minutes now. I was growing very tired.

"About last night," Harry suddenly spoke. I turned to him. His eyes still on the road. He was leaned back in the seat, one of his hands on the wheel, the other resting on his lap.

"No need to bring it up. It's fine." I quickly told him. I did not want to discuss what happened last night. It was already awkward enough as is. He didn't say anything after that. I took that as an okay. The car came to a sudden stop. He pulled into a parking lot of a store I have never heard of before.

He got out of the car. He didn't wait for Odyssey and I to start walking into the store.

Odyssey and I got out the car and followed behind him. "Excuse me. What happened last night?" Odyssey asked.

I looked at Harry to make sure he wouldn't be able to hear us. He was a few feet away from us. "He showed up drunk at my balcony at three thirty in the morning."

"What? Why?"

That's what I would like to know honestly, but I didn't want to talk about that with him. I didn't want to talk to him about anything really. I didn't even want to be here right now. I am here against my own will. "I don't know. He just showed up when I was sleeping. He was knocking on my window, yelling my name. Then he fell asleep on my bed."

"That's weird." I nodded agreeing with her. That was weird. Odyssey suddenly stopped, grabbing my arm to stop me with her. Harry stopped in front of us. We were in the middle of the store. He turned around to look at us.

"Your mother wants you to get dresses and shoes for tomorrow."

"What's tomorrow?" I asked him. What does my mother have planned now?

"I don't know" He snapped suddenly. I don't think I can keep up with his mood swings. Already his mood has changed six times since we've been together. What the hell was wrong with him.

"Whatever" I mumbled. Odyssey was giving him a hard glare. I pulled her with me, far away from him. I could still hear him following behind us. We went to the dresses section. I hated dress shopping so much. I didn't enjoy the part where I had to change to see if the dress fits. It just annoyed me very much. I didn't know what the occasion was either, so I had no idea what kinds of dresses to get.

"What about this one?" Odyssey held up a burgundy half-sleeved dress. I didn't really like how long it was, but then again, I still had no idea what the occasion was. Did she want me to get a long dress or a short one?

"I'll try it on" She added it to the pile of dresses on the cart.

"Okay I think this is enough, I'm going to go try them on," I told her. Harry was busy walking around looking at the dresses with his eyes. I gave him a weird look before following Odyssey to the dressing room.

The first dress I tried on was blue. It was long with spaghetti straps. I was a bit big. I went to the next dress. After twenty minutes of trying on the dresses, I decided that I did not like any of the ones I tried on. There were two more dresses left from the pile.

The next one I grabbed was a little black dress. I don't remember grabbing this dress. Odyssey must've added it on the cart. The shoulders and long sleeves part of the dress was laced. The bottom half of it being polyester. It puffed out a bit in the bottom, not much. The dress exposed the top part of my back and a bit of my chest. It was knee length.

I looked at myself in the mirror, turning side to side to get a better look at the dress.

I liked it.

I opened the door to the dressing room. Odyssey and Harry were sitting on the benches waiting for me. They were both on their phone, sitting at least ten feet apart. "How does it look?" I asked. They both looked up from their phones. Odyssey jumped up.

She grabbed my hand and spun me around. "I love it." She grinned. I didn't know if Harry was going to say anything. He had a blank stare on his face. His eyes scanned my body, making me pretty uncomfortable, before meeting my eyes. He didn't say anything. Instead, he went back to doing whatever it was he does on his phone. I turned away from him, ignoring his once again rudeness.

"I think I'm going to get this one, thanks for picking it out for me."

"I thought you picked it out?" Odyssey asked confusedly. If she didn't pick it out then who could it have been? There was only one other person here with us. When I turned to look at Harry, he was gone. I can see his back from a far, walking to the register.

Weird.
