Aurora

The next dress I tried on was everything I imagined. It was a beautiful ball gown, it sparkled in all the right places and the train was not a disappointment. The dress had long sleeves with an illusion, flowers going around throughout the whole dress and the beads of diamonds on the chest area was just beautiful.

"How are you feeling in this dress Aurora?" Timothy asked with a smile on his face.

"I feel like a bride. It's beautiful, it's perfect. This is definitely the one." I just hoped my mother would agree to this dress. I'm in love with it. I know she will love it too, but she will deny it just to get on my nerves. We left the fitting room to show them the dress.  Everyone was wow'ed by the dress. Odyssey stood up to give me a hug. "You look breath taking Aurora." She was actually crying.

I laughed hugging her tightly, "Come on now, don't make me cry"

"You look very beautiful Aurora. Like a princess." Jane was the first to speak out of the five. I gave her a smile and a quick thank you. I really did feel like a princess in this dress. It was the one.

"This dress is a luxury beading flowers tulle ball gown with a sheer neck, long sleeves Illusion bodice and a cathedral train"

"What do you think mother?" I asked her. She stared me down then shook her head. "This isn't the right dress for your wedding. I want you to try on something else. More form fitted." My smile went away as she once again disagreed with my choices. I don't know what it was going to take to please my mother.

"I love this dress. It makes me feel beautiful. It fits in perfectly with the theme of the wedding." I tried to convince her that this is what I wanted. Yes I want my mothers approval on my wedding dress, she is the one paying for it after all, but at the end of the end it wasn't about what she wanted. It was my decision.

"I hate it. It's too big and too sparkly. Will you go try on something else please."

Sarah helped me down from the stand. We went back into the fitting room. I stood in front of the mirror again, staring at myself. There was no longer a smile on my face. This dress was the one. I can't believe my mother actually hated it. Everyone seemed to love it. My thoughts were disrupted when Odyssey and my mother came into the room.

Odyssey walked over to me giving me another hug. "I just want you to know, this is your choice, don't let anyone else's feelings influence you and your choices. Don't let them guilt trip you into changing your mind about your dream wedding dress. It's all about you Aurora. This dress is the one. I know it is. The moment you stepped out in it you were glowing, your smile was bigger than it had ever been in a while. That's the kind of feeling you want to feel when picking a wedding dress. Follow your hearts desire my love."

"This dress isn't for you Aurora. Harry will hate it!" My mother had finally spoke.

Odyssey turned to my mother and shouted at her, "Who the hell cares what Harry thinks? This isn't about him, it's about Aurora. Harry Styles does not get a say in what gown she wears to her wedding. His feelings do not matter at all in this moment."

"You better watch your tune with me young lady. This dress does not suit Aurora at all. It does nothing for your figure, it is hiding everything."

"I really love this dress" I told her once again.

"If you've decided this is the dress you want to wear for your wedding I hope you have the money to pay for it because I am not paying for this." I was taken aback. Her words hurt more than intended. How can she say such a harsh thing? Was she really not going to pay for my wedding dress just because it isn't the one she wants?

"Mom please. Please don't do this to me. I beg of you." The tears that were currently blurring my vision had made their way down my cheeks. How can she do this to me? How am I supposed to pay for this dress myself?

"Put on a different dress Aurora. If you decided not to then I guess you better find money to pay for this dress you want." With that she was gone. She had left the dressing room. Leaving me to drown in my sorrows.

"Aurora." Odyssey walked up to me, placing a hand on my shoulder. I turned away from her and wiped my tears away. "Can we try a different dress please?" I asked Sarah and Timothy.

"Of course."

The dress they brought back for me to try was a strapless, lace, form fitted mermaid that flared out at the bottom. I didn't wait for Sarah and Timothy to help me out of the fitting room. I stepped up on the stand facing my mother. She had a big smile on her face. "You look beautiful. The dress is perfect." I gave her a small nod.

"What do you think of this dress Aurora?" Sarah questioned.

"I like it. It hugs my body nicely, the flare in the bottom is easy to move around in." I turned away from them to blink back my tears. I was not going to cry. Once I retained myself I turned back around to face them.

Jane scanned the dress on my body before meeting my eyes, "Yes, the dress is beautiful and it looks great on you, but you don't look as happy as you did in the ball gown. I don't think this is your dress"

"It is her dress. This is a dress I would pay for, what's the price on it?"

Sarah stopped my mother from going any further, "Now before we start talking prices, Aurora would you like to try on the ball gown again just to make absolutely sure that the mermaid is your final decision?"

"Yes I think I would like to see her in the ball gown again" Jane had spoke. Odyssey and the other girls agreed with her.

I stood once again in front of them wearing the ball gown. This time with a veil that was even longer than the cathedral train. The smile from before found its way back onto my face once again. Breath taking.

"You look like an absolute princess Aurora. It's beautiful. This dress was made for you." After saying this, Jane stood up to give me a hug. "It's the one."

This was the dress I wanted. Even with my mother sitting there giving me a disapproving glare, I shook her off. I was going to get this dress. I don't know how I am going to pay for it, but I know I can not leave it behind.
