Aurora

Once Harry had left I went through the gift bag once again. I reached into the bag to take out the necklace box, but my hand landed on a card. I took out the card that had Happy Birthday printed on the front. I opened the card to read the writing inside.

"To my future wife,

I wish you all the best on your special day. I wanted to take this time to apologize for things I have done in the past that could have possibly hurt. For one, leaving you on Valentine's Day. It wasn't my intentions at all. I did ask you if you wanted to go out or not that day, I didn't realize you really did until Odyssey came to speak to me about leaving you alone. I am sorry if I ever made you cry or upset. I hope you love your birthday gift. This star shines just for you. You are a delight of a person to be around. You have a bright spirit. May you continue to shine as bright as the stars. Happy Birthday, are you feeling twenty two?

All the love, H"

I closed the card as I smiled like an idiot. This was another side of Harry that I was yet to come across. It was nice. Although I didn't know how to feel about Odyssey going to Harry to confront him of what he did, I was glad she did. I took the necklace out of the box, putting it around my neck. I went over to my mirror looking at the necklace in my reflection. I placed my hands over the necklace, feeling the diamonds. It was breathtaking.

The past three weeks had consisted of going to my classes then spending the remainder of the day with Harry, unless it was the weekend. So far we had gone on a few dates, my favorite being taking a walk we took in the woods on a rainy day. Harry and I had gotten into the habit of writing letters to each other. It was another way for us to communicate and express our feelings without having to talk as much. I enjoyed ending my night reading one of his letters to me.

Today I was going out with Odyssey, Zayn, Niall and Mery. We were going to meet up at Andy's diner for dinner before heading out to a drive in theater. I have never been to a drive in theater so I was pretty excited. Odyssey picked me up from the house at six o'clock. Zayn, Niall and Mery were already at the diner once we got there. We made our way over greeting them. The diner was never packed. Other than us there were only three other people here.

We chatted as we waited for our food to arrive. Zayn tapped on my shoulder to catch my attention "Aurora are we invited to the wedding?" Niall and Mery also awaited for my response.

"Of course you are. You guys are my friends, I wouldn't want you to miss it." I truly did consider these three my friends. They were amazing people. They're caring, loving and over all understanding. I think I was ready for them to meet Harry. I had gave this a long thought for a while now and came to the conclusion that if Harry was going to be my life partner he should at least get to know my friends.

"When is the wedding?" Mery asked

"June 23rd is the hope" I told her.

Niall and Zayn looked at each other, "June 23rd? I don't think we will be able to make it."

"Why not?" Odyssey asked them.

"Our best mate is also getting married that day, we are his groomsmen we have to be there for him, I'm sorry." Niall explained.

I nodded understandingly. "Don't worry about it really. It's okay." Not long after our food had arrived. We continued to make small talk as we ate. The bell on the door sounded, signaling that someone had come into the diner. I turned to take a look at who it was as everyone else was deep in conversation. A girl with jet black hair came in making eye contact with me. She looked at me in confusion, ignoring me and walking over to the registers instead. I turned my attention back to my friends. They seemed to be having an eating contest. Niall and Aurora were going head to head to see who could finish four hot dogs first in under a minute. It was a disturbing sight, not at all pleasant.

The same girl had walked by our table carrying her to go bag of food. She stopped mid way, looking at Niall and Zayn with furrowed brows. "Niall?" He looked up with a mouth full of hot dogs. He waved at the girl while trying to say something that wasn't very audible. "Hey Priscilla, what brings you here?" Zayn had greeted her as well.

Priscilla? It couldn't possibly be the same Priscilla that had texted Harry's phone. It would be too much of a coincidence. Then again, I don't know much Priscilla's in Cambridge. "Grabbing something to eat for the Fiancee and I. What is going on here?" She looked at Odyssey and Niall with disgust as they tried to get rid of the food filled in their mouths with juice.

"We are just having little fun is all." She nodded still with a look of disgust. I looked down at her hand, a huge rose gold, pear cut, diamond being the first thing that catches my eye.

I think I was staring for a little too long for her liking. "Beautiful isn't it?" I looked up at her, giving her a small nod. She gave me a wholehearted smile. The ring was beautiful, I couldn't deny that fact. "Alright well, you guys have fun with your eating contest I have to get going. Goodnight." Niall, Zayn and Mery waved her goodbye once more before she left the diner. I watched as she got inside a gray car. There seemed to be a figure in the drivers seat, they weren't very much visible because of the tinted windows.

When I got home that night after the drive in theater, I went straight to my mothers room. I needed an answer to a question that has been bugging me ever since the diner. My mother was laid up in her bed reading a book. She placed the book down at my presence, taking off her eye glasses. "Did you need something Aurora?"

I walked over to her bed and took a seat next to her. "I just have a quick question. I don't know if you'll be able to give me an answer, but I was wondering about the ring you found in Harry's pocket. What did it look like?"

"I remember it being a pear cut diamond. I have a picture of it actually, I'll show you" She sat up on the bed, retrieving her phone from her nightstand. She unlocked her phone and scrolled through her photos before handing the phone to me. I took a good look at the ring. It looked like the exact same one she had on. Rose gold, pear cut diamond ring. "It's beautiful isn't it?"

"It is." I told her. My mother smiled looking down at the picture again. "I'm sure he's just waiting for the right moment to propose to you."

Or he could've possibly already proposed to someone else.
